Brack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden made their last campaign rally appearance in a nearly half-empty college arena in Cleveland today.
CBS News' Mark Knoller Tweeted that the Democrat National Committtee says that the 13,600 seat arena had about 8,000 in attendance for the rally held at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center.
Before the rally, the Associated Press speculated that the crowd was not going to fill the arena.
Obama's (sic) was expected to appear about 2:30 p.m. at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center. A crowd was trickling in about an hour before the president was expected, raising questions whether the arena, which can hold up to 14,000 people, would be filled.
At 1:30 p.m., only the lower bowl was full, though hundreds of people had crowded onto a portion of the floor before the stage.

I don’t think Biden has a clue as to what’s going on in the world. He’s like an enfeebled old 107 year old uncle, they trot out in a wheel chair. No idea whats going on, why everybody is there, even though its his birthday, but every once in awhile he says something completely inappropriate, that everyone just finds cute and adorable.
You know he was picked as VP as insurance against Obama getting a bullet (from his own party, I’m sure), and because he was the dullest knife in the drawer. Totally loyal, glad for any hand-out, and clueless as to what is really transpiring around him.
My wife says he’s a real life version of Uncle Joe from Petticoat Junction. I don’t give him that much credit.
Its almost like he was picked to be the comic dumb-ass of a comic duo, you know, one straight man, one goofball, like Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, Pen and Teller. Each comic duo needs one in the group to be the real doofus, and Joe... your it. Sad part is, the comic duo doesn’t work too well when your both playing the part of the doofus. You really need one ‘straight man’. Team Obama doesn’t have one.

Funny thing. I live in an apt complex, you know pedestrian living. If by chance on the way to work I learn that OBAMA is going to be over at the pool some morning signing autographs, I’d keep driving... not even looking in that direction.
There is no aura...with this guy...There is no true charisma....There is no true golden oration....or intelligence here. The people know he’s a phony.
We will start hearing stories after Nov 2nd about what really goes on in these meetings....

Yes, he replaced all the agents with his thugs. As much as I dislike the man, I hope that he doesn’t pay the ultimate price for doing that.
But then, he has replaced a lot of qualified, experienced people with neophytes who can’t even find their butts with both hands and a flashlight.

I’ve heard a couple of radio news stories regarding Obama trying to rally his backers into going to the polls for Democrats. The sound clips have Obama speaking and the crowd cheering.
I’ve been wondering about the size of the crowd at whatever event these clips come from. The radio news reports say nothing about empty seats in the coliseum, of course.
Obama has recently had a hard time filling up rooms, so I was wondering about the crowd size (and the lack of reporting on crowd size) at the events where these news reports come from.
