NY Times Reporter: Obama White House Fears 2012 Primary Challenge
Sunday, October 31, 2010 | Kristinn

The Obama White House is fearful of a Democratic primary challenge as Obama contemplates running for reelection in 2012, according to New York Times White House Correspondent Helene Cooper.

Appearing on the Chris Matthews Show ths weekend, Cooper said Obama's advisers are concerned they'll face an intraparty challenge from the left as did President Jimmy Carter when Sen. Ted Kennedy took him on in 1980. A wounded Carter was soundly defeated later that Fall by Republican Ronald Reagan.

One person who could lead a credible challenge from the left would be Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin. However he is set to go down in flames in Tuesday's election.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been touted as scheming for a rematch against Obama in 2010. She was seen as the more moderate leftist in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign when compared to Obama.

‘an intraparty challenge from the left’?

What an utter joke! There is no-one to the left of Obama. This is a planted story to make Obama look ‘centrist’ right before the elections.

CUE GIANT EYE ROLL!

Hillary would beat the hell out of him like last time, she did win the primaries last time but lost because of scheming Dem operatives who knifed her.

Personally, I’d love to see Hillary go and knock seven shades of sh!t out of him.

This time i don’t think he’d make it out the other end.

Still think he’s contemplating not running at all.

As a longtime Democrat supporter, I expect that I will have to work very hard over the next eighteen months to promote a primary challenge to Obama from the left. Clearly his policies are not progressive enough to satisfy my fellow Democrats. Nancy Pelosi would be ideal for the job - a progressive and a woman two-fer would be certain to lead the Democrats to victory.

They will be after his blood on Wednesday.

“She was seen as the more moderate leftist in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign when compared to Obama.”

Even though Hillary! is just as much a Marxist as Soetoro, the sheeple will believe this line of BS. And that is potentially very bad.

If the Democrat Party had an ounce of brains and common sense, they would demand that POTUS Obama resign immediately, and if not, impeach him the next day!!! Obama is destroying the nation and with the entire Democrat Party!!! And.....while the idiot Democrats play their fiddles in lunacy, Bill and Hillary Clinton are tearing Obama down piece by piece!!! Hillary wants that POTUS slot and she ain’t goona wait for 2016 to grab it. Obama is mortally wounded and the Clintons know it, big time!!!

Obama won’t run in 2012. He would have to show his birth certificate.

Earlier this morning Fox reported on a poll showing around 42% of Democrats think he should be challenged. I wasn’t focused on the tv and 42% may not be exactly right, but the figure was in the 40’s. He will try to find a graceful retreat that preserves his enormous ego. He’ll probably claim he needs to focus on family.

Won’t happen. We’ll see more Black Pampers Party Poll Watchers to ensure a second term with immunity from the Just Us Department.

If I were Obama, I think I might more fear not being allowed on the ballot.

This narrative about Kennedy’s significance in weakening Carter is mostly propaganda. Carter demonstrated himself as impotent and hapless. Conservatives were solidly behind Reagan, and old school Democrats who still loved America were willing to *risk* voting for Reagan. Carter was a one wimp trainwreck.

Don’t forget, the Rockefeller Republicans had spent YEARS trying to paint Reagan as a kook. The Kennedy Democrats had spent mere months undermining Carter.

The left is not going to knife Obama..they love him. It will be the so called ‘centrist’ and ‘blue dog’ democrats that knife him in the back after this election.
