So, it’s a three hour event and includes four music acts. This isn’t a rally; it’s a free concert.
The whole thing is setting up to be a major flop. The organizers are already CYAing all over the place with the noncommittal “cone of silence”, major face palms and “How do we get ourselves out of THIS one!” memos.
IMHO ;D!
Is there going to be live feed anywhere?
Still, I expect the driveby media to gush about the turnout, and try to compare it to Beck’s numbers, or outright lie about the number of those in attendance.
How many showed up for the various Tea Party and Beck events? THERE was the cone of silence.
Oh terrific! They have a terrorist telling everyone this is worthwhile, HuffPo is busing in moochers (free stuff for all) and the commies will probably be out in force. Yep, this will be a lovely event I’m sure Mr. Stewart will be proud to be associated with.......Heh.
I predict that Stewart's KGB-run Komedy Gulag will get anywhere from half as many butt-munch haters to twice as many navel-gazing mouth-breathers as the bused-in SEIU/Acorn event a couple weeks ago. No more than, at the outside, a-quarter-to-a-third as many attendees as Beck's amazing shindig.
Ultimately, the question boils down to "How many can God draw?" versus "How many can Satan draw?" Given the wanton, craven depravity of the general public, you'd think the Father of Lies could do alot better than I'm predicting here, but unlike God's faithful, whose conviction runs to and from their very marrow, The Enemy's support is a mile wide and an inch deep.
As it should be.

This is why liberalism is so destructive and dangerous: It is inept.
For liberals, what is important are intentions.
Not results.
Not funding.
Not Planning.
Intentions.
My favorite example of this is the DC Chapter of Free Republic and their interactions with Code Pink and other liberal organizations outside of Walter Reed Hospital.
At the entrance of Walter Reed Hospital on Georgia Avenue, it is a large cross road with four corners. The moonbats had permits for two of the corners, and the DC Chapter of FR had the other two. This situation was the state of affairs for a long period of time, when it was discovered by the Freepers that the moonbats had let their permit expire. They immediately snapped up the permit for the other corners, and now had all four corners in front of Walter Reed! The moonbats had to move 100 yards down the street, pretty much out of sight and mind.
They couldn’t be bothered with the mechanics of this process, only the concept of doing it.
Now, we see this...they are having this moronic rally, paying to bus people in, getting money from a variety of big deep-pocket liberal sources, and they can’t be bothered with a detail like portable toilets. From this article, it sounds like they can’t even be bothered with actual content.
These are the people who currently pull the levers of power in our country. They control our legislation. They have nearly complete power over the process of selecting the judiciary. They control the schools. They are deliberately destroying the energy sector. They run the war. But, worst of all, they have their inept hands on the very neck of our economic lifeblood, our economy.
When we see how badly they mangle everything they touch, we have good reason to fear for our future, and to seriously ponder how much time remains before the damage cannot be undone.
I hope they are humiliated by the failure they have created.
I would take Maxwell Smart over any liberal anywhere.
His character might have been an inept, comical dope, but you can tell he loved his country and wouldn’t deliberately do anything to destroy it.
Note: The actor, Don Adams who played Maxwell Smart, was in the Marines and served on Guadalcanal, where he contracted an extremely nasty case of malaria, the unusual complications of it took him over a year to recover from. He served for some time after that as a Marine Drill Instructor. A real American...:) God rest his soul...
Your post says it all. Thank you.
Sheryl Crow’s coming ? There’d better not be any toilet paper !

It is why liberals have no shame, none whatsoever. It is easy to be arrogant when you construct a reality in which you are always right.
Sounds, to me, like there is no event. Stewart just wanted to tie up the venue on the weekend before the elections so no horrible Republicans could hold one of their obnoxious rallies.
Hey, Bill -- are you bringing the dynamite and nails? Say hello to Diana for me.
Cheers!
I’m peeking in on a DC live cam here:
http://app.ddot.dc.gov/services_dsf/traffic_cameras/map_15.asp
Doesn’t look like much of a crowd so far. Leaves falling off trees won’t give much cover for claims of thousands standing in the trees to avoid the sun.
Other cams are available at the site too. Don’t see any portapotties though,
Dang. This subject got me onto a wrong track today.
I hate it. I am in a bad mood about this...I live in Massachusetts, it is a perfect, crisp sunny fall Saturday morning. And these thoughts, fear for the future of our country in the hands of these people controlling our fate crowds out this beautiful day.
I am sick and tired of liberalism. It stain, soils and destroys everything it touches, and there is no responsibility for the results of liberalism. This whole event in DC just brings out the worst in me, pushes the truth into my face.
Grrr. And now I have to drive into Cambridge, MA, which is the equivalent of Berkeley, CA, Madison, WI or Ithaca, NY. Fortunately, I don’t have to stay long!
