Not a pilot, but I will comment:
Air travel in the year 2010 is STUPID. After doing the worthless security Macarena, where all but the biggest threats shuffle barefoot thru the lines by mind numb government workers, passengers are then crammed to capacity into an oftentimes aging metal tube that had a 20 minute look over by union employees before it launching into the stratosphere.
I used to travel a lot. Just took a flight this weekend. I realize air travel has a great safety record, but its just not worth it anymore unless absolutely necessary.
Gun powder instead of toner ink??
That happens all the time.
As usual, the quantity of speculation is inversely proportional to the quantity of facts. All we know for sure is that the authorities are investigating several potential bomb threats related to suspicious packages. We don’t know why the packages are considered suspicious, or how their presence was discovered, or how the authorities knew specifically where to look. And we don’t know if any real explosive devices were discovered.
After he stops for shave-ice.
Thanks ... I first for me.
a first for me.
I got through half of that post then went blind. I am seeing red dots everywhere.
I agree. It's a royal pain now.
Glad that I did all of my flying 20-years ago.
Good question.Being that we have a federal government that has declared us the enemy and attacked Az. Think about what Obama can do and get away with. If anyone dares to speak up we will be called racists or tea partiers that Sheila big mouth lard butt Jackson Lee thinks needs monitored.
This is not good no matter how you think about it.
A weak radical POTUS that could not lead his way out
of a paper bag.
LOL...Don’t worry...the idiot in chief says we can absorb another terrorist attack. He has a tee time to get to ASAP.
Gun powder isnt an explosive, its an accelerant....it burns, not explodes.
Plus, it not white. White indicates RDX, semtex, Comp 4 (C4) and other maliable explosives. They should have been "sniffed" before boarding but not in Yemen methinks.
Maybe some Muslim-sympathizers in the UK put them on the planes when they refueled? Just a thought.
I imagine it would be a declaration of Martial Law. They wouldn’t have to expressly cancel the elections so long as election day falls within the period in which civil authority is suspended.
I’m not really sure though. It’s not a possibility I’ve ever taken seriously before now.
Probably sensory equipment or a CCCI contact.
You only need to say the "b" word and the TSA will automatically jump into action.
Now actually finding something will be their biggest problem...
I hear ya. It has changed. I had to use the bathroom VERY BADLY and we were at a busy airport that took a while to get to the gate. I got up to go pee and the flight attendent
acted as if I was committing a federal offense. I guess I was.
I thought I was going to be cuffed.
Yeah but so far they are catching everything.
You don't declare martial law when you PREVENT the Reichstag from catching fire.
