Republican Dino Rossi and incumbent Democrat Patty Murray are separated by a single point in the U.S. Senate race in Washington with less than a week until Election Day.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Rossi picking up 48% of the vote, while Murray draws support from 47%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are still undecided.

“...but I know that I actually walk in and cast a vote on election day...”

Same here for me in California. I’m not saying this will be a big factor, but I do think quite a few conservative voters are waiting until election day to vote. In an average election, I probably would have already mailed in my ballot. This election is so important to me, and to the country, that I want to take care of business in person, on election day.

Polls that go against us are trash polls. Polls on our side that show us winning are accurate polls and are praised. That is the norm here, but it is ok cuz it is still informative.

Any incumbent under 50% less than 7 days from Election day is in trouble...

They can still win but it will be ugly... (Think "Al Franken style" win)

Dino’s campaign manager’s had better have their radar on!....Those rat bastard libtards stole his election for governor in King County......

From above article: “This is now the second time Republicans have been beaten in this kind of legal street fight. In 2004, Dino Rossi was ahead in the election-night count for Washington Governor against Democrat Christine Gregoire. Ms. Gregoire’s team demanded the right to rifle through a list of provisional votes that hadn’t been counted, setting off a hunt for “new” Gregoire votes. By the third recount, she’d discovered enough to win. This was the model for the Franken team.”....

I actually refuse to mail in my ballot because there’s always a risk that the postal service could lose it or deliver it to the wrong address. By voting in person, I know for certain my vote will be received and counted!

The only good thing with the past theft, is that Rossi is wiser and knows better how to arm himself with a team of lawyers AND not to mention the eyes of the WHOLE nation will be on this race come Tues night!!!!

Your warning/advice is well taken, however in my observations of Washington State politics (20 - 25 years) if the Republican canidate is not at least 5 points ahead in the election night balloting, their chances of actually taking office are marginal at best. Needs to be remembered that Washington went to an overall absentee ballot method a few years ago. This state is getting worse than The Chicago area for control by a King County cabal.

I expect a takeover of the Senate on Tuesday. 52-48 GOP.

So you're expecting Boxer to lose as well?

Indeed, Gregoire’s consituency will be out in force again - the dead, inelligible and nonexistant. Hope he has poll watchers everywhere!

If Rossi wins, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that we’ll control the Senate.

“Assuming an honest election, of course.”

My family sent in a straight R ticket (of course) and in so doing the ballot said that to forge a signature or to vote more than once was ‘illegal.’ Too bad that memo doesn’t make it all the way into the reaches of the RAT party in KingCo.

Be Vigilant!!

Two more Rossi votes to be counted on 11/2!! And two more for James Watkins in WA 1 v. Jay Dingslee (”I wanna be re-elected so I can follow in my hero’s footsteps and perma-campaign for WA governor.”)

“There is no way to reconcile the generic ballot numbers Gallup is publishing with the assumptions that are built into all the individual Senate race polls.”

Interesting thoughts!

I can account for 5 Rossi votes-myself and my 4 children. The last one called me from Camp Pendleton last night as he marked his ballot. My wife (of 32 years) still won’t tell how she votes. I’m fairly sure she votes as I do but won’t give me the satisfaction of saying so. How’s that for stubborn?

“A lot of this “Republican peaking” is really just the pollsters adjusting their polls to reality.”

Right. But with even the RAT press like the NYSlimes starting to face reality, it will help produce an even greater peak. Kind of like when the RAT press ignored the ACORN scandal - eventually they *had* to go in when the force of the truth was so great that they were simply looking juvenile ignoring it. They were embarassed and shamed into stopping their cover up, as much as they tried and as clear as their agenda by silence was.

This effect helped to bring the ACORN stories impact to such an extent that the Congress had to defund it just to save face. (Now we know that ACORN is morphing into all kinds of other pernicious forces again aligned with socialists and taking on another life.)

Now the NYSlimes, CBS and others are having to finally admit to reality (that is despite their continous slamming of the Tea Parties, Palin, et al) and the force of the RATs propaganda arm being shamed into reality to ‘save face’ will cause an even greater impact among independents who will go to the polls wanting to vote with the winners, wanting to be in the wave and not swept away by it.

This is one of the last gasps of the old dying media’s impact - that is when they are hoisted on their own petard by willfully ignoring the truth. Once they do fall, the fall is hard and LOUD.

Both within the MoE - and hmmm, just curious who will benefit from the late breaking votes? :)
