The survey released Thursday by Fairleigh Dickinson University-PublicMind shows Coons holding a commanding lead of 21 points, with 57 percent of likely voters saying they will vote for Coons compared to just 36 percent for O'Donnell.

Oh, okay, how about we all just apply our own political purity tests to candidates and throw important things like general election electability out the window?
Castle is what could win this seat in this cycle. Period. O'Donnell had no chance and all the whining about Rove is just a bunch of crap. The Republican party establishment warned about not nominating COD for a very good reason - she can NOT win this Senate seat in Delaware. She is a terribly flawed candidate who was simply not a good fit for this race. Everyone with any political sense knows this.
By your logic the only thing that matters is purity. In that case we may as well nominate candidates too conservative for their states in Maine, Mass, IL etc. I mean, you should want to primary Scott Brown right? He's a RINO. How about Kirk? He's a RINO, should we have run a more politically pure conservative in Illinois even if he/she had no chance to win?
It's like people just aren't thinking here. Letting all their personal peeves and anger cloud their ability to see the big picture. We have to be nominating the most conservative candidate that CAN actually win. Nominating COD is not just hurting us in this race, it is likely hurting us down ballot as well and very possibly hurting us in Pennsylvania since PA & DA share a media market. O'Donnell is an utter disaster as a candidate. She makes the other Republicans look foolish just being associated with her. How are so many people here not seeing this?
Oh , so you give the self rightious response . You must use a giant ladder to mount that high horse you are on .
Yeah; better to just vote for a RINO, and move along, right?
That's why we have the RINO's today, as the Elite Republican Machine puts the candidate they want, who can vote with Democrats, but is touted as a "Moderate", meaning he grabs his socks when Dem's need his vote....
Only one question from October 6th? You better look again. I see no questions from Oct 20 - 26.
Her legions of supporters were her primary voters and out of state backers who apparently neglected to consider whether she would actually make a good general election candidate. So sure, she has support, it's just that it is nowhere even remotely close to a majority of Delaware voters - something every single political expert with any skill tried to tell people prior to nominating COD.
Honesty is not that high of a horse. If you find it so unachievable and thus think we can not expect more from our candidates, then I submit you are aiming too low.
Yes, my honesty has held my personal "success" back in many ways, but that's only if you consider character to be worthless. I maintain my character and it's not any "high horse"...it's what I consider what should be entirely expected of all.
Vote. Get others to vote. Protect the vote and be a poll watcher. Think POSITIVELY toward a big win on Nov. 2.
Say a prayer that good will prevail over evil on Nov. 2.
Well said and thank you very much for this important reminder.
I'd like to see Prayer and Palin Power united to elect a true Constitutional Conservative to the Delaware senate seat. Even though I'm in faraway Texas, we all have a stake in this election since a Christine O'Donnell victory will be a very positive influence on the entire country.
As I posted elsewhere in this thread, her performance in the debate against that reprehensible Coons creature solidified my love for this brave Christian woman, Christine O'Donnell.
Christine needs to, frequently, ask voters what’s more harmful, voting for somebody who will VOTE IN THE NEXT SIX YEARS for tax increases, for bigger government, for more “red tape”, against a more business friendly environment, against everybody’s freedoms,...or to vote for somebody who won’t do all of these things that Coons will do, for the next six years. This goes way beyond whatever involves Christine’s personal life. Why would a majority of voters decide to vote for what will, successfully, harm them for the next six years? Get all of these messages out to the majority of Delaware voters, and Christine would win, instead of lose, IMHO.
Every single one you posted had responses from then.
The more recent results are under the heading of ‘all’ and the specific breakout categories. Only the last column provides data from the 6th.
No, what's stated are Oct 6th dates. It is right there to see in post 165.
OK, got’s yeah. Godring is a Castle Rino though
Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the Delaware voter.
After all, they did elect Joe Bite Me several times.
So...why am I still seeing Coons ads on Philadelphia TV every night? Why would Drmocrats waste precious ad dollars this way?
Do you see a party breakdown on the number of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in this poll?
What’s funny, I see 26% identify themselves as conservative, 17% Repubs, who say they are voting for the Marxist Coons.
Because they are bad with $$$$. Just look at how Obama treats our $$$$.
Too bad this race sucked in precious resources that could have been used in closer races that were actually winnable.
