Even WaPo is calling it a "semi-gaffe."
Stewart cited Clinton player Larry Summers's role in the administration as evidence that Obama has not been totally committed to bringing true reformers into government, which set the president up for the only semi-gaffe of the night. The president said Summers did "a heckuva job" during the thick of the financial crisis, prompting Stewart and the audience to sputter into laughter.

"We have done things that people don't even know about," Obama said. I imagine we're going to be pretty angry when we find out, right?
To: nhwingut
Sounds like a heckavu dull show.

Obama is a prime example of a person, who does not know what he’s doing.

Wonder how many press have seen this photo. Imagine if one existed of President Bush doing something in the same vein. Uhbama is a wreck.
Heck, uhbama smokes, gasp, cigarettes. He's probably sucking on a butt right now while I type this post. IMAGINE if President Bush had had that addiction while president. Geeeeeeeeez. uhbama is absolutely a product of a man who did not chose his friends wisely.

“And so it was that the cult of Obama finally broke up, it came after the election when the fainting hoards abandoned him saying; ‘if he were truly the one he surely would have seen that election landslide coming and gotten out of the way.’ And they were sad, for they found that he was just another politician and not a very good one at that.”

This stupid comment might make news if the other things going on didn’t seem more important. His new 37% approval, Dim candidates about to be thrown out, economy in the toilet.
The bigger issue is a sitting Prez on a cable joke show. WTF?

“He said Social Security started out as a program for widows and orphans, and later grew into a massive social safety net. Also Civil Rights — that expanded over time. So it will be with health care reform, Obama said.”
Hm.
“Similarly, the way congressional districts are drawn ought to change, Obama said. “So many are so safe,” he said. “It helps to polarize the electorate.”
Hm.

Obama: "I am feeling great about where the American people are, considering what we have gone through. We have gone through two toughest years of any time since the Great Depression...."Note he said two years instead of ten years. And both of those two years happened under his watch.
"We have done things that people don't even know about," Obama said.
I bet you have.
