Damn it Thune. These 2012 candidates are dropping like flies. First Daniels, now Thune. Palin hangin’ strong. Don’t know about the others.
Thune is one of those types who is quiet but anyone who thinks he is playing on our team they are wrong. He likes his insider perks. He isn’t a Tea drinker. He usually votes with us but he has proven he is not interested the new Tea Party revolution.

He was a big backer of Murkowski and Jane Norton.
Too many conservatives are chumps for a man with a tan.
The problem is that on the surface these guys look good and then you dig down and you see who they really hang out with. Thune is right there with Lyndsey Graham but of course for many it won’t matter. Thune is nice looking and defeated Dascle and the same people think Sarah Palin and Christine O’Donnell aren’t qualified? I wonder if these people would suggest Sharron Angle for President when she wins against Reid? The problem I have with many among us is they have the credibility of children and the mindset of the ‘elites’.
No matter how many times we prove the old rules wrong their is a chorus among us wanting to drag us back to the old defeatist thought patterns and Machiavellian approaches to politics.
I support liberty. I’m not going to support anti-liberty Democrats and I’m not going to support lukewarm pseudo liberty loving Republicans. Just wait there is a job of GOP Senators planning to pee on our victory and they will use Kirk and the ‘big tent’ crap as a bludgeon. Lindsey Graham will be out there as the anti-Tea Maverick. Be prepared to get angry because I’ve seen this before in 1994.
If we don’t stop capitulating we will never reshape the Republican Party into a true party of liberty and the Constitution because there are a lot of big money Republicans who want to shut us up or mute our force. Luckily there are others who support our cause. We can not go back to sleep after this election or after 2012.

Thune eagerly endorsed Kirk in the primary as well (and Kirk was sure to circulate a fundraising letter highlighting that fact), so it's no surprise he's pimping Kirk more in the general election.
He also endorsed John McCain early during the presidential primaries, when the field was still wide open and it was anybody's to win.
Thune doesn't even argue these guys are flawed but "better than the Democrat". Instead he argues passionately that they are terrific leaders for the Republican Party and pushes for the party to nominate them over decent conservatives.
And he's from a so-called "red state".
Food for thought the next time some freeper touts this guy for President. Bear in mind that when Lindsey Graham does this kinda stuff, they demand his head on a platter. Chris Christie got racked over the coals for endorsed Mike Castle as well, and his endorsement wasn't nearing as gushing as "true conservative" John Thune's words are.
Oh, I definitely got it. Thune = unacceptable.

Thune has been unacceptable as a Presidential candidate for some time. Remember what he did to John Bolton. Voted for TARP. Very pro-pork.
