Then the Highway to Hell.
Now, high-speed rail to Detroit.
Who wants to go to Detroit besides al Qaeda?
I sat and watched “Parking Wars” on the history channel yesterday. Interesting that it was in Detroit. Here was some mother...whose son had parked the family car at the wrong spot, and it was a handicapped location. Total fine? Over $1,000. Mom had to go down and get a payment plan....and admitted that she’d never be able to pay this off. And you look around Detroit at all of these people with just enough income to survive, and that’s it. A payment plan for twelve months probably.
And a $160m rail screw-job is the best that the administration could offer them? I just don’t get it.
The High Speed rail project will be a boon to the procrastinators when they decide they need to get out of Detroit fast.
Gotta have high speed rail for all the produce pickers they’re gonna have once they plow under all those slums and turn them into pastureland......
Apparently, Obama heard that “people can’t leave Detroit fast enough” and high-speed trains was his solution...
What a boondoggle. It’s probably more of a slush fund. Amtrak already runs between Kalamazoo and Detroit and probably averages 60 to 70 mph. The “high” speed is going to be 79 and eventually 110...big whoop. What a waste of money. And who needs to travel between there??? It’s not like there’s huge commuters between the two areas and neither are huge vacation destinations.

Maybe it's one-way out of town?
ML/NJ
The difference being ????
The gangs need to get to where the money is.....
Is this for those who wish to leave, surly no one wants to go there.
Trying to buy votes for Bernero, Dingell, and Schauer.
There needs to a law preventing any Federal agency from announcing grants, contracts, projects, etc. in the month preceding election day.
I’m tired of these bloodsuckers using my tax money to buy votes.

SNIPPET: “ Michigan found that too many small manufacturers were unable to get the credit they need to diversify their businesses because the value of their real estate collateral had deteriorated. To address this issue, the state created a supplier diversification program that has far more demand than it can meet. Yesterday, Michigan learned it would be eligible for funds to support $792 million in new lending through programs like this.”
