n yet another blow to Alaska Republican Joe Miller's Senate campaign, a judge ordered Saturday that his contentious employment records be released later this week.
Judge Winston Burbank ruled in favor of a local news outlet's lawsuit to unseal Miller's employment records at 4 p.m. Tuesday unless the Republican appeals his case to the state Supreme Court a decision that was still in question Saturday night.
Miller's employment records when he was a part-time attorney at the Fairbanks North Star Borough have been a controversial issue in the Alaska Senate race, which has become a competitive three-way contest. Polls show Miller and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who is running a vigorous write-in campaign, in a dead heat with Democrat Scott McAdams trailing them by a few points.
Depending on what the employment records reveal, their release could come as yet another hit to Miller after a rough couple of weeks on the campaign trail much of which has been at the hands of online reporting outlet Alaska Dispatch, which sued for release of his employment records.

What exactly is supposed to be in Joe Miller’s employment records that he doesn’t want to disclose? I like Joe, but this is the first I’ve heard of this. Anyone know?
At this point they don’t care what is actually in the records, they just want the impression that there IS something there.
Not the point. The judge was appointed by Frank Murkowski. This is a total conflict of interest and Miller has a good case for a stay, just on that alone.
Even Princess Lisa showed up with her wrinkled angry, stuttering face. Joe handled her venom with nothing but class, of course, holding to a clear message of fiscal responsibility and reform in D.C.
Be sure to see all the videos (Parts 5-8) Don't miss part 8 w/ the candidates final statements (click on more videos) That's when Murkowski steps in it BIG TIME, saying Joe Miller is "... unfit to lead" ... which brought the house down on her arrogant head !!
Look, just because a state judge says something about something that doesn't mean that ruling applies nationwide. Just means the judge in that state said it.
No doubt if this is a meaningful issue it will end up hurting Moocowski, right?
Unless you’re john kerry and won’t release your service records.
Look, don't tell the pukes anything ~ make THEM go to court while you threaten to have their children taken from them if you win (do that part quietly ~ you know, through a rough looking agent who sits down next to them in a bar).
That's how the Democrats do it.
A lot of the MSM nonsense happens for reasons other than the partisanship of the MSM ~ sometimes they have been threatened.
Still, when you retire you simply advise the records custodian in Personnel that if ANYTHING is ever released you will come back and hunt them down and cut them into little pieces.
My friends in E&LR advised me that such threats are common and there's really not much they can do about them.
Hey ken, how are you? It’s good to see you.
Lisa sounds like a spoiled brat who thinks she is the only one to be “given” the seat. She doesn’t believe the Alaskans have spoken in the primary and don’t want her.
Good, thanks...yourself?
This campaign tactic brings to mind the 2004 Senate race in Illinois, in which candidate Obama’s people torpedoed Jack Ryan by getting his divorce records released. The GOP replaced Ryan with Alan Keyes, who went on to lose ...
Retired superior court judge winston burbank, APPOINTED BY FRANK MURKOWSKI."
I think you are correct and I think I saw something like that in another story talking about ‘client attorney privileges’.

We had some concerns on the expedited process, but on the merits of the ruling it may be that the Miller campaign decides it's fine where it is, said Millers attorney, Thomas Van Flein. The entire time, Mr. Miller was saying, We need to get this information out, but we also need to make sure my rights are protected and the boroughs rights are protected.
That’s exactly what I was thinking -
you remember what the rationale was for opening the sealed divorce records?
The “shopped” judge thought such information would be “interesting”.
These are just pathetic acts of desperation that the voters will clearly see.
I'm sure one of Moocowsky's lieutenants had that in mind ~ but last night at the big debate he noted he did once use his office computer for a personal reason ~ so there!
He may well have headed off the problem.
BTW, Moocowsky looks terrible ~ like a lighter, but twin in all other respects to the other levitating giant wooky out campaigning.
