Check out the dearly departed’s YouTube video. He will be missed.

Well, I think "motive" has been established.

Appears our dead thug was a very successful urban pharmacist.

Scott - who was charged with beating his neighbor to death during a robbery in 2004 - died instantly, his bleeding body sprawled on the diner floor.

Since it appears justice was never served, wonder if this was payback?

Another factoid from my time in Manhattan and Upper Nyack which were a crucible for my solid transformation from left leaning libertarian to culture war righty...and yes some issues that define us today were absent then

1) first time I ever felt black hostility to me as a white kid...that had never happened in Dixie though arguably they might have had a better case

2) I noticed Italians and Irish in Brooklyn were far more openly hostile to blacks than I ever saw in Dixie ..even open white supremacists in the South were still paternalistic to blacks....and they had much fewer of them to deal with than we did in 40% Mississippi.

3) Northern educated class folks were very derisive of my deep south accent...which I grew to resent from them.

I could go on but I'm glad I finally ended up back where I belong decades later...and I welcome Yankees who come down here as refugees to share our common culture and values...quite a few from Detroit here I know who need no explaining on these matters.

LOOK AT WHAT IS COMING!

They are ALL Moslems!

What on earth does this story have to do with Muslim immigrants?

I imagine that living in N.Y. would hone one’s instincts for preservation. My visits to N.Y. were back in the 80s and I was scared out of my wits. We drove down through the middle of Manhattan to get on the boat to Governor’s Island. Hubby’s band was playing at a C.G. club there. I heard that they later closed that base. N.Y. sure was awesome from the island. I have some great pictures of the WTC. I’m glad I have them now. The overwhelming size of that city was really intimidating to this ole country girl. I wondered what could ever possess a sane person to live there (no offense meant). LOL. I do love little ole WV with it’s meager 1,000,000 people. Lots of room to wander.

Hey WD. That is a very interesting map. It shows the make up of the city so one can see where not to go. Thanks.

Know what you mean. As a dirt-poor little barefoot Southern girl, I never felt any hatred from blacks. To me they were just people who worked beside my parents and grandparents in the fields. They spoiled me and I loved them. It makes me very sad to be hated by ‘my” people nowadays. As you say, the South was more “integrated” than the North.

This has to be Manhattan, KS since there aren’t any guns in NYC.

LOOK AT WHAT IS COMING!
They are ALL Moslems!

“What on earth does this story have to do with Muslim immigrants?”

First off,my exchange was directed to To: reg45 on post #40.

Secondly the link

http://thelastcrusade.org/2010/10/22/obama-authorizes-80000-“refugees”-to-enter-country/

is ALL about 80,000 Moslem immigrants that Obama is bringing over here by redefining what a refugee is. All this is WITHOUT the approval of anyone but himself. These Moslems are the latest wave of new immigrants to be brought over by Obama from Islamic countries.

Geesh! What about Christians that are being murdered by Moslems? Dead silence on that. Redefining what a refugee is, is also wrong. If anything it should be the Christians persecuted by Moslems being able to come to America.

Sp perhaps now, you have a better understanding on why I posted on MOSLEMS that Obama is bringing over as refugees! I also encouage you to read the link. Obama is purposely seeking to bring Moslems here from other countries and keep Christians OUT. Just look at the percentages and the dominant religion of the country/area. You will see that it is Moslem.

Check out the video. The Daily News story has been updated, too. More info on the dead guy, what happened in the diner and his criminal record.

I think I'm going to pay attention to what happens next in regards to Young Classik's demise. After watching some of his youtube videos I think this guy might've been quite the "playa" in the 'hood. Those stacks of bills he's flashing are real, as is the Mercedes he's driving. And the trips to Miami look real too.

This guy seemed to be a successful entrepreneur. Undoubtedly he made some enemies along the way, people who are happy to see him dead. But I'm certain he had some friends as well. And these folks aren't happy to see him dead at all.

I don't think this story is going to go away. I have a feeling there's going to be some gangsta's out there who are going to pay. And their homeboys are gonna make somebody else pay. This could get ugly real quick.

It’s a great place if you’re into the arts; my husband is currently off-Broadway. We have Broadway, Lincoln Center, Alvin Ally, Film Forum, MOMA, you name it, we got it. You can get Indian food or fresh bagels at 3am, etc. Greatest restaurants. I live near one of the prettiest parks in all of New York.

So that’s really why people come and live here. It can get overwhelming there’s no doubt about that. I will say that it is a city that is very suited to the young and super-ambitious.

The overwhelming size of that city was really intimidating to this ole country girl.

you actually get used to the buildings and environs and you kind of learn to exist in your own perspective and some areas even have a neighborhood feel where folks remember you in delis and stores and cafes etc

but the crowds, traffic, summer heat, winter wind at night, and the crassness never got to be something I liked...you learned to be defensive...like standing in line at Zabars or Greene St Grocers...you better step up and forget about polite que-ing or you might stand there all day and sales folks can be off putting

today the lib folks would drive me nuts...they sure do when I'm in Nashville proper nowadays in bohemian East Nashville or Hillsboro Village-Vandy area...I didn't much pay attention back then and Northern girls liked how I spoke and my non meterosexuality

that was all way back though eh?....5 children and a wonderful wife later rural TN is a much better place to raise kids...

always something to do in New Yawk though and a great jumping off spot for the rest of the universe which is what I used my residence there for more than anything

Sometimes I really miss the South. Haven’t even visited back “home” for many years now. I’m beginning to understand why the Salmon swim back upstream as I grow older. I think more of places of my childhood and know they are gone forever. It can make one depressed if you let it. I agree that you have a much better place to raise your kids.

This looks like revenge:

“Corey Scott, 28, was shot three times in the back and twice in the head, police said.
Scott - who was charged with beating his neighbor to death during a robbery in 2004 - died instantly, his bleeding body sprawled on the diner floor.”
