A stagehand working on the stage set up for President Obama's appearance in Los Angeles was told to go home when he refused to remove his hat and shirt honoring the aircraft carrier named USS George H. W. Bush. His son is in the US Navy and serves on the ship.

From the interview, it sounded like it was the union reps who demanded that he removed his hat, turn his sweatshirt inside-out, and fired him.

I don’t see why this chap should be surprised at the intolerance of the union ,,, they would gladly bust ones head just for opposing their views . I worked construction for 40 years and would NEVER WORK UNION and made a real good living . Unions are the main reason we no longer have a manufacturing economy .
Anything and everything liberal is violent: Communists inC hina have killed millions, COmmunists in the Soviet Union killed millions, the Nazi of Germany killed millions, the Cambodian Communist killed millions, on and one and on.
Even here in America the liberals demand fascism, a virtual police state, to take from the “rich” and destroy corporations and capitalist companies. They would easily try to kill millions here if they could get away with it.
What does this have to do with the guy’s ability to do the work? Liberals will screw you every chance they get.
Was he canned or just sent off the job for the day because he wouldn’t change the hat and shirt.
I also wonder if there’s a provision in their contract that prevents workers from wearing any message of any kind on their clothing, unless it’s the company logo or something.

But when Obama was elected everything was going to be puppydogs and rainbows, kumbaya, and we were all going to get along. Ask this union guy and Juan Williams if that is still the case.
This should go over well with his buddies at work and his son’s buddies on the ship. Might change some votes. I could understand a GWB t-shirt being a problem, but this is ridiculous.

They are no different from any totalitarian in history. They preach the virtues of tolerance until they are in power and then they only have tolerance for those who think, talk, and act just like them. And the worst thing is that they cannot see the hypocrisy of their stance.
NAZI part was 100% a socialist political party. That’s why they hated and brawled with the Communists so much. They were fighting over the same deluded supporters.
The only thing “right wing” about Nazi Germany was its hijacking of the traditional symbols and institutions of German patriotism and nationalism to camouflage its systematic destruction of everything noble decent and great in the country.
Of course at a Nazi party rally they wouldn’t have fired a stagehand for wearing an “SS Hindenburg” hat.....
