On "The O'Reilly Factor" on Monday night, Williams said, "I mean, look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
And this is a fireable offense? ...
Here's a bulletin, NPR: Lots and lots and lots of Americans feel the same way as Juan Williams. And that includes lots and lots of liberals. And probably a lot of liberals who work at NPR. Juan's "crime" wasn't that he said something bigoted. His crime is that he said something that liberals find politically incorrect. And that he said it out loud. And worst of all, that he said it on the Fox News Channel.
In liberal circles this is nothing less than a crime against humanity!
What makes this so crazy -- and so sad -- is that liberals are the open-minded ones, the ones who cherish the free exchange of ideas, the smart ones. And if you don't believe me, just ask any liberal, who will be glad to tell you how smart and open-minded he or she is. But these are the kind of people who believe in "free speech" only as long as they agree with you... what we have here is one more piece of evidence that too many of them have forgotten how to be liberal...
It's a shame that liberalism is dying in this country. It's an outright crime that liberals are killing it.

Yeah, ever been at the airport when the Muslim gets out his prayer rug, and faces Mecca and prays. You want to tell the folks that you think someone is going to practice JIHAD. Juan Williams, a true patriot. NPR, UN patriotic, in all categories.
The Hope is changing...to confusion.
You're full of feces, Bernie.

What does that say to you?
Bernie was being sarcastic.
To defeat the left,
expose the left.
Simple as that.
Yes, you can steal it for a tagline... :)
Hey, don’t think I won’t! ;’)
Within a month NPR will reach a deal to rehire Juan Williams and he will reward them by become a flame-throwing ultra progressive.
This little exercise is what some would call “attitude adjustment”. Williams is having his attitude adjusted.
You forgot to read on: He said if you aren’t sure, just ask them. (that’s called being a smart A__)
This act is going to help swing the election, less than two weeks away. All Zero has to do is open his fat stupid Kenyan-born Moslem mouth one more time.
Could be a trick.
I knew a Muslim who said the same thing after 9/11... He couldn't understand why he wasn't checked more thoroughly when he got on a plane - said if they weren't checking him they probably weren't checking others who looked like him - and it scared him. Guess he was 'anti-Muslim' even though he was raised Muslim, had Muslim parents, Muslim brothers and sister, and was a direct descendant of Mohammad. And he thought it was nuts to not check out people who looked like him... NPR would probably call him a bigot. I remember trying to explain to him about 'racial profiling' and how Americans found that offensive - and he kept looking at me like I was nuts.
Liberals have always believed that freedom of speech and press are precious and so must be protected and guided and properly circumscribed to preserve their value and utility to liberals.
You are way off the mark with that comment.
