Boy this makes me mad. Juan is a liberal, but he’s an honorable liberal and the fact that NPR is doing this sends me through the roof. We need a congressional investigation into NPR’s hiring and firing practices and personally, I’d be thrilled if the congress pulled their funding.

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody White and feel relieved.”
— Jesse Jackson

will Jesse come to Juan’s defense?

For perspective....

Jesse Jackson: “I hate to admit it, but I have reached a stage in my life that if I am walking down a dark street late at night and I see that the person behind me is white, I subconsciously feel relieved.”

I’m sure Juan will dust himself off and Fox will offer him something. He will likely write a book about his tenure at NPR... maybe title it: National Public Radio... the great American farce.

What if we skip the expensive investigation cost for the taxpayer and just pull their funding because they are redundant now that the marketplace has other venues for history, science, and political programs?

Rush is reporting on his show that Soros gave NPR a million bucks to hire new reporters within the last couple of days.

So, nothing here move along.

I hope the new Congress cuts off all taxpayer funding for NPR.

Interesting that they would toss a “moderate” overboard. Typical Alinkyite tactic of cutting the weak out from the herd.

As much as I dislike Williams, he can count me among his defenders on this issue.

Juan Williams Responds To Being Fired From NPR

Odd that there is nothing in this video piece where Williams actually responds to being fired. I thought they were going to interview him.

In my experience, people like Juan don’t get fired for the last thing they did. Good chance they have wanted to fire him for a long time and this just provided the cover. Could be as simple as not liking him throwing around his NPR bonafides on FNC.

I note that you and WB have different versions of the same quote. I found it source in the US News & World Report from 3/10/96: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/opinion/articles/960318/archive_010008.htm
