From the column: First, the obvious liabilities. He's a Mormon who has flip-flopped on social issues, trading his more moderate views for getting-right-with-Republican-primary-voters stances, and as governor he signed into law a health care reform plan inconveniently similar to what President Barack Obama and the Democrats enacted this year. To sum up, he's a mandate-embracing political opportunist. In 2002, he declared he supported abortion rights. In 2008, he proclaimed he was an abortion opponent. He's made 180s on gay rights and gun control. But each of Romney's flips (or flops) were in the direction of the GOP's base. And, to take a cynical but perhaps pragmatic view, his deftness in shifting on these fundamental issues is a sign he might just be able to sidestep his health care problem. (Conservatives have called on Romney to apologize for RomneyCare; Bay State Republicans defend the original legislation and claim the subsequent Democratic administration in Massachusetts ruined the program.)

Romney switched three times on whether to treat homosexuals as protected class status as employees. He switched three times on embryonic stem cell research. And he went back and forth about a dozen times on abortion. (Does he want syrup with those waffles?)

From the column: As for Romney and God, evangelical Christians, who make up a hefty chunk of GOP primary voters, can be rather suspicious of Mormonism. Amy Sullivan in The Washington Monthly in 2005 dissected Romney's religious roadblock, noting that that as recently as 2004, "Mormons were specifically excluded from participation in the National Day of Prayer organized by Shirley Dobson (wife of James Dobson, leader of the conservative Christian organization Focus on the Family) because their theology was found to be incompatible with Christian beliefs."

Muslim leaders claim Christians are "infidels." Mormon leaders claim Christians are "apostates." (Not much difference there)

If you give a quiz to a Republican candidate. And one of the Questions is a multiple-choice Q: "How do you define Evangelicals, Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox?" And if the multiple choice answers are:
(a) apostates; (b) Christians; (c) donors to my campaign; or (d) expensive votes...
...and if Romney and other Mormon leaders choose (a)...
...how is it again we are supposed to be inspired about that and vote for him?

What kind of a name is "Mitt?"

Does it have to do with hockey or something?

“Watch Out for Mitt Romney!”

Him and a few dozen other Rinos! Hopefully a bunch of them will be sent to pasture in November - some will unfortunately survive to confuse the unwary.

But David Corn LOVES him!

Romney is an awful choice to run in 2012. He would effectively neutralize all arguments against Obama.

Omabacare? Meet RomneyCare.

Bailouts? Meet the unrepentant bailout supporter.

And so on.

The fact that he’s a slimeball who somehow seems to think that he is both owed the Presidency and that he can buy it isn’t even a factor.

Mitt’s RINOs are ready to attack Palin.

Karl Rove, Scott Brown, Steve Schmidt, Ann Coulter and Peggy Noonan will unleash their “Palin is Unelectable” campaign the day after the mid-terms. It’s going to get ugly.

Corn seems to have Mitt pegged:

“To sum up, he’s a mandate-embracing political opportunist.”

They more she is attacked, the more loyal her base becomes.

Loyalty = $$$Donations$$$.

If the people fell for Obama, they may be primed to fall for a Stepford, Romney! All preprogrammed, polished and wrapped in plastic, the GOP will, no doubt, be pushing him upon the people.

There is something just a little bit creepy about Mitt Romney. Check out the below photo of him in a fudge factory. There are more like it out there.

Also, that photo of him yukking it up with the Democrats as he signs into law an onerous health care bill (Massachusetts) is devastating. It pretty much sums up the fact that he is a "go-along-to-get-along" RINO.

These two photos alone should disqualify the man from seeking higher office - at least as a conservative.

He's a Mormon who has flip-flopped on social issues

What else needs to be said?

Romney should endorse Sarah Palin right now.
