President Obama will make his first appearance as president on the comedy program “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” next week, days ahead of the midterm election, a White House spokesman said.
The interview’s timing is also notable because it comes just before Mr. Stewart’s “Rally to Restore Sanity” in Washington, D.C.
(Actually, the rally was renamed the “Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear” last week because Mr. Stewart’s satiric colleague Stephen Colbert will also be there.)
Mr. Stewart is bringing “The Daily Show” to D.C. next week, culminating in the rally on Oct. 31. Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director, said Mr. Obama’s interview would be taped on Oct. 27.

I believe it’s part of his personality. Being president isn’t what he thought it would be. What he really wants is to be an adored celebrity. He’s probably constantly frustrated by his lack of adoration from the people.

What a loathsome “man” he is. I wonder if he realizes the more he appears, the lower his approval number is? He was overexposed BEFORE he was Prez. He was on TV every day before he was inaugurated. I guess having both parents abandon you can cause mental problems.
Obama is at 49% approval today on Rasmussen. He is testing the waters for 2012, where he can easily break 50 by manipulating the media, the truth and the sheeple. We will gain historically in a few days for mid-terms, but he can still smarmy the polling in his own favor with a few appearances. And he isn’t even trying. No message, just finesse has garnered this uptick. Who goes up against him in ‘12....that can actually win the nation, beyond their own base, which is the fine point here?

My feeling is that he will eventually appear on the soap opera Days of our Lives (Doctor O). He’ll also likely appear on the History Channel’s Swamp People as a visiting President out on a gator tour in the bayous of Louisiana. And I think he’ll be on some food show to cook waffles for folks.
In the end....folks will complain that they want a president and not a public figure...and he won’t be able to grasp that.
