Climb upon my knee, sonny boy Though you're 53, sonny boy Although you've dyed your hair pink And at all the boys you do wink, Still climb upon my knee, sonny boy

I used to work with a girl who told me her father/mother was a transvestite and her mother was a lesbian. She was one screwed up chick.

Captian Obvious to the rescue.
Let’s see, if we have Gay parents - in the biological sense; then we have a pre-disposition to the birth-defect that is homosexuality. Just like a cleft-palet, a deformed appendage, or other deformity - there is some gene that is just not working right.
If the Gay parents adopt, then we have the environment. If the child is raised in a home where homosexual love is the role model the child is exposed to; then heterosexual love will be both alien and unnatural to the child.
Thus, the kid is screwed in both the arenas of Nurture and Nature.

The combination of defensiveness and a rigid orthodoxy is turning out to be far more harmful than helpful to the homosexual community.
For instance, their bias is to assume that their physical and psychological problems are either directly related to their sexuality, or are caused by others rejecting their sexuality. But the truth is that they have statistically greater numbers of physical and psychological problems that the general public, and that they are *unrelated* to their sexuality.
By pretending that these problems are social instead of organic, many of them face far greater consequences from them. Essentially untreated physical and psychological problems that become far worse than they should have.

I had a good friend who is a Psychologist. Notice I used the past tense. She argued that homosexuality is a variation of normal. I asked her ‘what's normal about it?’. A thirty year friendship down the tubes due to political differences. We also disagreed that sexual molestation wasn't harmful to a child......that's what SHE thought. She, of course, had no children. In the end, the parting of the ways is no loss for me.
