(Oct. 17) -- Walter Schumm knows what he's about to do is unpopular: publish a study arguing that gay parents are more likely to raise gay children than straight parents. But the Kansas State University family studies professor has a detailed analysis that past almost aggressively ideological researchers never had.
When one such researcher, Paul Cameron, published a paper in 2006 arguing that children of gay parents were more likely to be gay themselves, the response from the academic press was virulent, to say nothing of the popular press; the Southern Poverty Law Center, for instance, equated Cameron to a Nazi.
Not all of the vitriol was hyperbolic. Cameron does not tolerate gay people. He believes that "homosexual practice is injurious to society."
The gay press, as far back as the 1980s, labeled Cameron "the most dangerous anti-gay voice in America." Though Cameron was the first to publish papers on the dangers of secondhand smoke, the scientific community has abandoned him. The American Psychological Association long since dropped him from its membership for an "ethical" violation.
Today, Cameron is the founder and chairman of the Family Research Institute, whose "overriding mission" is to publish "empirical research on issues that threaten the traditional family, particularly homosexuality."

No, really??!
did they raise them to be gay from the time they were small?
I used to work with a girl who told me her father/mother was a transvestite and her mother was a lesbian. She was one screwed up chick.
But! but that would mean it is not genetic and is a learned behavior, surely you jest....
Now there is the statement of the century. LOL!
Captian Obvious to the rescue.
Let’s see, if we have Gay parents - in the biological sense; then we have a pre-disposition to the birth-defect that is homosexuality. Just like a cleft-palet, a deformed appendage, or other deformity - there is some gene that is just not working right.
If the Gay parents adopt, then we have the environment. If the child is raised in a home where homosexual love is the role model the child is exposed to; then heterosexual love will be both alien and unnatural to the child.
Thus, the kid is screwed in both the arenas of Nurture and Nature.

Study: Heterosexual Parents More Likely to Have Heterosexual Kids
Duh?
Time to buy stock in that turkey-baster company....
Ahhhh, but did they offer other-than-emotional proof that he was wrong, or did they just lash out at the messenger?
(I speak rhetorically...)
In other news, studies show that if your parents didn’t have children, it’s liklely you won’t have children.
Products of their environment?
Not all gays started out that way,
some of them got sucked into it....
Remember, alternative lifestylers don’t breed they recruit.
The combination of defensiveness and a rigid orthodoxy is turning out to be far more harmful than helpful to the homosexual community.
For instance, their bias is to assume that their physical and psychological problems are either directly related to their sexuality, or are caused by others rejecting their sexuality. But the truth is that they have statistically greater numbers of physical and psychological problems that the general public, and that they are *unrelated* to their sexuality.
By pretending that these problems are social instead of organic, many of them face far greater consequences from them. Essentially untreated physical and psychological problems that become far worse than they should have.
File this one under “duh”.
