A burned burger wasn’t enough of a complaint to prod the waitress into taking any action to fix the many problems that I experienced at MKD’s. The poor service began when a draft beer was set at my table, the foamy head filling a good portion of the glass. I didn’t touch the beverage until the foam had vanished, leaving the glass about 70% full, (or 30% empty, as this dining experience continued)
A cheeseburger arrived in less than 4 minutes, overcooked, dry and burned; it had obviously been prepared in advanced and reheated. Service was downright BAD, uncaring and dripping with undeserved attitude. When the condition of the food was described to the server, her only comment was “I’ll let the kitchen know,” no offer to replace the poor fare. I actually went home and ate something else.
I’ve tried this Marquette U. three times this past year, and twice have I found it to be a disappointment. I’ll never return.

Yes, she's full of initiatives, but has no healthy habits of her own unless you count bench-pressing weights to keep those linebacker arms. MO eats ice cream, shrimp baskets, cheeseburgers and lobster dipped in butter.

People like the chrome and old drive in styling but the place is all decorations with lousy service and food. I worked downtown for nearly a decade at numerous places and never knew a local who went there or even suggested the place among a dozen or more places we frequented.
A perfect trap for out-of-towners. Take your picture in front of the juke box and eat your burned hamburger and overpriced soggy fries.
