First lady Michelle Obama appears to have violated
Illinois law -- when she engaged in political discussion at a polling place!
The drama began after Mrs. Obama stopped off at the
Martin Luther King Center on the south side of Chicago to cast an early vote.
After finishing at the machine, Obama went back to the desk and handed in her voting key.
She let voters including electrician Dennis Campbell, 56, take some photos.
"She was telling me how important it was to vote to keep her husband's agenda going," Campbell said.
According to the pool reporter at the scene, the conversation took place IN the voting center not far from the booths.
Illinois state law -- Sec. 17-29 (a) -- states: "No judge of election, pollwatcher, or other person shall, at any primary or election, do any electioneering or soliciting of votes or engage in any political discussion within any polling place, within 100 feet of any polling place."
A top Ilinois State Board of Elections official tells the DRUDGE REPORT how Mrs. Obama may have simply been ignorant of the law and thus violated it unintentionally.
"You kind of have to drop the standard for the first lady, right?" the official explained late Thursday. "I mean, she's prety well liked and probably doesn't know what she's doing."
WHITE HOUSE DEFENDS ELECTIONEERING
When questioned about the brazen nature of Mrs. Obama's campaigning, press secretary Robert Gibbs defended the action.
"I don't think it would be much to imagine, the First Lady might support her husband's agenda," Gibbs smiled.

Has someone ever called the fashion police on this “person?” If not, WHY not? She violates every fashion law that was ever invented!

Why is she voting in CHICAGO??!? I understand the Obama’s legal residence is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave Washington DC. Isn’t this election fraud in the most basic way? If you have 16 houses, can you vote at each of them?
The actual law is cited, and it does not say what you claim.
No electioneering by anyone is permitted.
I’m sure Michelle is giving Ms. Roberts a lecture on healthy eating.
She, like her husband, is a stinking POS that thinks the laws do not apply to them. America will a much better place after this caravan of posers/plunderers/moochers leave the national landscape.

You were entrusted with the stewardship of this great nation by people who were led to believe in the words of your speeches.
Now, your words are empty, you commitments unfulfilled.
Your style of leadership is not in the American Spirit of Boldness and Righteousness. Your leadership style is to blame, not inspire...to threaten, not encourage.
In the greatest threat to this country, the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln built a Team of Rivals and together, they won a war, healed a nation and freed a race. All in the short span of 4 years.
You sir, have built a team of crooks & cronies, each seeking to line their pockets, further their self interests and abandon the principles that made this country great.... at the expense of the people they are suppose to serve.
In less than 2 years, you have come closer to destroying this country than the forces Lincoln faced, ever did.
For you and your ilk, the American Dream is a myth, something to hold in contempt, for you never believed in it. You only believe in getting what you want, regardless of method or deception.
But America is a resilient Nation. Americans learn from the mistakes of the past. And as they learn that you were not as you claimed, you will hear a growing chorus of descent across the nation, across all demographics and races that not even you can ignore. Your choice will eventually be resignation, impeachment or devastating defeat in the 2012 election.
Nothing is against the law in Chicago............
