I've long suspected that the federal government is consciously subverting American education. Deep inside the Department of Education, there must exist a top-secret Bureau of Educational Disasters (BED) whose mission is to concoct alluring but guaranteed-to-fail, academic achievement-killing policies whose sole benefits are more jobs and mindless paperwork. These would be the folks who recently bribed states to retain academically troublesome students whose behavior hindered decent students so as to make America "better educated," i.e., a nation of high school "graduates" barely able to read their diplomas.
Well, like all industrious Washington bureaucrats, BED, with Department of Justice support, soldiers onward. Their latest education-destroying innovation is eliminating the disproportionate suspension and expulsions of African-American students. This is not empty rhetoric; it is included in the Obama administration's $4.3-billion Race to the Top initiative, and schools that fail to mend their ways will lose federal funds and face expensive litigation at a time of shrinking education budgets. In fact, the future is already here, as schools are increasingly being targeted in resource-draining civil rights complains about disciplinary unevenness (see here).
Though one could argue that black youngsters cannot learn unless permitted to stay in the classroom, and whites and blacks should receive the same punishment for identical offenses, this initiative would win a Nobel Prize if such a prize were awarded for foolishness.

Rush was being facetious yesterday with his claim that Obama was trying to level the US in order to make us less competitive with his buddies and financiers, the ChiComs.
If you take a good look at Hussein’s redistributionist and “social justice” objectives, Rush’s satire is as good an explanation as any.
This is why we struggle to private school and supplement. We live in NJ and the schools STINK. Depending on the accounting method you use, our state spends either 14K or 19K per student. It’s NOT the money. It’s what they are learning and the substance of it is LOW.

I have a family member that is absolutely brilliant in math. He went to a top notch college, and it was an eyeopener for him.
All his life he was the very top of his class in certain subjects. But when you go to certain elite schools, they will have a concentration of students as brilliant and probably a few moreso, than you are.
You suck it up and compete, or you change your major and get out.
It’s interesting that you focus on groups. Using “groups” is how universities tried to stem black attrition. By dividing the students into groups and giving all in the group the same grade for a project, the universities hoped to keep minorities from flunking out. There is always someone in the group who WILL do the work. Eventually, some lazy non-minority students starting riding the group gravy train, which created the opening for students to challenge the group meme.
Indeed, I find it incredibly ironic too. Over the last 50 years or so the state, Marxist & multiculturalist have been most successful in getting many/most white to think of themselves as borg and tout the mantra 'I don't care about skin color' when the reality of it is, skin color is about all that matters. Whether we are talking about education, jobs, housing, media & the MSM, laws or just about anything else. SKIN COLOR is one of the predominate driving forces in it all except unless you are white. It is being used as the battering ram and way too many whites are oblivious to it all.
Hell, even CHINA has a better education system than the U.S.. Did you know that Costa Rica is MORE LITERATE than the U.S.? I am not lying. What is going on is shocking.

Obama HATES America. He is determined to cut us down to size and make us a third world country because THIS is what he relates to. He doesn't close our borders because he believes the U.S. is an OPPRESSOR and took land from Mexico and they should have it back one way or the other. He wants MORE criminals and illegals for the vote and because this is another way of spreading our wealth around.
Obama is doing his utmost, from a third world mentality to DESTROY U.S. and he also HATES WHITE Christians and JEWS. Remember he grew up in impoverished Indonesia. All he saw was U.S. having MORE and being a "bully"on the international stage. So he is going to press the "reset button" and bring U.S. down and he is doing just that.
Exactly. Group think is called collaborative learning. It is a step child of cooperative learning. Yes, kids figure that out very quickly and do LESS when they have identified those that care. They rid the coat tails of those that care. It's LESS WORK for the teacher, parents are HAPPY because their kid gets a grade boost and the kid coasts along.
It's truly a crime that YOUNG kids are subjected to this. They are using collaborative learning in PRE SCHOOL now. They do NOT want strong INDIVIDUALS.

Notice how many teaching aids/books/lessons are appearing on the store shelves. Are parents teaching the real subjects at home on evenings and weekends? What about all the wasted classroom time? AMerica feel asleep. GUILT from previous generations and unfairness has now taken on a hideous life of its own. Irionically the whites that push this are the worst RACISTS of all. They truly see people ONLY be SKIN COLOR.
Maybe it’s not such a tragedy that children are being exposed to this scam at an early age - many of them will “get” it and become conservatives.
I can't speak for other parents. We private school and closet home school when I see a gap. I pay CLOSE attention to what is being taught. There are some things I can't do such as “jazz band”, “art” or experience the satisfaction of forensics or debate. That is best handled in a school environment.
The rest I supplement on a situation by situation basis and keep them in Johns Hopkins courses. We do what we can to make sure they KNOW something. I am very in tune to what they are doing in education. If I canhelp anyone or give them ideas on this stuff, do e-mail me and I will share what ever I can that might be helpful to you. We need alot of kids, that KNOW something.
Sad but true. People say they're tired of the polished and professional politicians.....then excoriate the man for having guts to speak his mind. Even conservatives have been effectively brainwashed with all this PC junk.
I don't see it that way. It becomes a part of them. Look at the PARENTS. They've been dumbed down too in most situations. It's HARD to turn around a WRONG MINDSET when you are EMOTIONALLY conditioned to believe this WRONG MIND SET is good. Look how long it took East Germany to come around.

Too often these imbeciles dig their heels in more, because they are EMOTIONALLY driven. They are arrogant. They are prideful. They need to be “right” no matter what.
Look at Obama. He is sensing that people hate him and are furious. Instead of looking at his POLICIES, he believes he didn’t MARKET them well. He sees nothing wrong with the SUBSTANCE of his policies. He is BLIND and doesn’t relate to the real problem - his policies, racism and general outlook.
