Here's the skinny. My son got off work around midnight and headed home, just a few miles and usually with no traffic since it's out in the boonies. About a mile or so from home, a car approaching with high beams on crossed into his lane and he had to swerve to miss a head on collision, ended up in the bushes. His reactions are very good and so's his sense of survival. Unfortunately there were large rocks in the bushes and the damage to the truck was extensive.

The other driver kept going while my son was battling with dual air bag deployment.

This sort of thing has happened quite a bit over the years on roads and highways late at night with much more disasterous consequences. My son was sharp....and lucky but paid the price, one that I consider to be a small price.
