California GOP Senate nominee Carly Fiorina is skipping a chance to appear with Sarah Palin at a major Republican National Committee fundraiser so she can campaign with Sen. John McCain instead.
Fiorina has not yet announced the Saturday campaign appearances with McCain, but a campaign source tells POLITICO that she will be spending her time on the stump with the 2008 GOP presidential nominee rather than his running mate, the former Alaska governor.
POLITICO reported last week that both Fiorina and GOP gubernatorial Meg Whitman would be skipping the RNC fundraiser in Anaheim, citing scheduling conflicts.
The RNC is heavily promoting the Oct. 16 event, which is expected to be a major haul at a critical juncture in the campaign. Tickets start at $20.10, with admission running up to $127.25. Two tickets and an opportunity to meet Palin are being sold for $950.
Palin endorsed Fiorina in the primary, shocking conservatives in California who had lined up behind state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.
Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, was one of McCains top surrogates during the 2008 campaign until she bluntly said in an interview that neither he nor Palin was qualified to lead a major corporation.
Yeah and Babs is one smooth and comforting presence

We have two choices. Fiorina or the excreble yenta.
“OK folks. Shes finally raised the flag showing her true colors the one with the RINO design in the center!
I guess the only thing thats gonna save the rest of us from California and California voters and political hacks out there is a 1.0 on the Richter Scale.”
Probably! Just realize ALL of us in California aren’t as stupid as McCain/Fiorina/Whitman/Palin think we are. I’m at the point with Palin, that the only thing I can determine is A) She isn’t very wise in the people she supports....like giving Lisa MurCOWski $5000 for her senate run, then switching to the other candidate.....and McCain ‘I agree with his policies....’...
or B) She approves of McCain style governing and dirty politics and lets him use her like a cheap trick.
I suppose the possibility exists that she SO clever she’s just ahead of the thinking of many of us who used to support her.
She just lost.
Well she IS campaigning in the land of fruits and nuts, after all...so maybe RINO McCain will translate into more left coast votes.
You know that how? Far as I could tell the products side was beating the competition, the stockholders didn’t like the stock price. IMHO
Boxer and Brown need to hold office no more. I vote the winner of the primary, no matter who I voted for originally, otherwise the party in power never leaves. California is a prime example.
I think that's the only reason Palin supports Fiorina, a woman who almost single-handedly destroyed one of the bastions of Silicon Valley to the great approval of the Clintons and their Chinese clients.
Carly better stay conservative if she's elected, or she'll be facing a RINO label which she will not politically survive.
Media strategy to discourage hard core Palin supporters from voting.
What’s the difference?
Well, I think Boxer comes across as kind of scatter-brained. It seems like she’s been in the Senate for a long time, but she hasn’t become very famiiiar.

This is politics, not friendship or social etiquette. McCain might be the better choice at this stage in a blue state like California. After all, it was blue states that inflicted McCain on us as the Republican nominee.
If Fiorina wins this election she will be gone in six years. The upside is Boxer will be gone forever.
There is no difference. Palin is McCain in a skirt: an opportunist and nothing more.
“No, I’m not gonna say it.
We just need to get rid of Boxer, thats all”
I agree with your statement.
Fiorina and Whitman would be too completely overshadowed by Sarah Palin — they are probably wise not to appear at the same event, even if it is for their own RINO reasons....
Wow you beat pissant to the punch....:)
