Carl Paladino says it’s not okay to be gay.
"There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual," the Republican gubernatorial candidate told a small Hasidic group at K’hal Adas Kasho synagogue in Williamsburg today.
"That's not how god created us, and that's not the example that we should be showing our children."
Paladino, who has made his opposition to the gay marriage and "the homosexual agenda" clear, went much further yesterday, to say children "would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family" than being gay."
"And I don't want them to be brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option," he said. "It isn't."
The speech came just days after the suicide of a gay Rutgers student and an anti-gay gang attack in the Bronx.
His Democratic opponent, Andrew Cuomo, blasted the remarks as "stunning homophobia and a glaring disregard for basic equality."

The very reason we are in the handbasket heading south is not because of the leftist Democrats.

The Repbulican party which was supposed to be conservative, wasn’t. They compromised on taxes, gov function, AND SOCIAL ISSUES. They are the ones who should have been STANDING UP AGAINST the leftist crap, but instead became part of the enemy through weakness, greed, lack of strong conservative ideology, “go along to get along”, “reach across the aisle” crap.
The ONLY - I repeat - ONLY - way to win this war is for Republicans to be strong fiscal AND social conservatives and have courage to speak and act on their principles.

I agree that there is no persuasive evidence that anyone is born homosexual. However, that does not mean that all homosexuals have chosen their same-sex attraction.
The best evidence I have seen, by the NARTH psychologists, who continued to do research into what causes the same-sex disorder after APA removed it from the manual of disorders, suggests that a lot of same-sex attraction originates after birth in the environment in which the person grows up. In many ways it grows out of the increasing sexual dysfuction all throughout society since the sexual revolution, which has disordered a lot of parents. A good bit of it seems to result from being abused as a child—sexually, yes, but also in other ways, in big but also in smaller ways.
Being told that it’s normal only makes things worse because it permits the person with the unchosen attraction to tell himself it’s okay to act upon the attraction. He then usually ends up abusing others and messing them up too.
The acting out is wrong and freely chosen. The same sex attraction is a disorder, not congenital, but also not simply freely chosen.
There are a lot of disordered heterosexuals too. Their disorders may be the result of freely chosen behavior or they may not; usually a mixture. There are a lot of people with disordered attitudes toward food, money, power. The role of influences by abusive and evil people upon them in comparison to their own culpabilty and choices is complex.
It really does help to make distinctions rather than broad brushing things.

You are correct. There is no homosexual gene. The embryo is either male or female, or a mixture of the two due to chromosomal abnormalities. Gays are usually clear male or clear female, chromosomally and genetically. But there is a stage when teh fetus is developing where the genitalia are formed and the sexuality in the brain is wired. THAT is where something goes wrong for the fetus, and his orientation is off.

I agree with all of you who argue this. You are born with your orientation. You will become aroused naturally by either males or females. But you can decide to alter your natural orientation. People have done this. It must be pretty difficult. Imagine yourself, oriented to become aroused with a woman, having to re-learn your sexuality so you can lie with John and have a good time. But people can do it. I will not deny that.

Sexual immorality = all forms
Meat to Idols = any participation in idol worship
blood = all health and cruelty issues relating to blood
strangled = all non-supervised killings for food purposes

I'm not Jewish. Non-Jews are permitted, but not required to offer qorbanot, even on private altars, but the rules are very stringent. Also, the skin is to be given to a kohen (Jewish priest) and there are opinions that this cannot be done since Jews are teme'ey-metim without the red heifer.
For Jews it is different. Jews are indeed required to offer qorbanot, but this cannot be done without an altar on the Temple Mount. Plus the absence of the red heifer makes it impossible for Jews to ascend there according to some opinions.
But my point, which you are doing your best to ignore, is very, very simple. G-d's laws are eternal. They do not change. They do not get "updated" or "modernized." The fact that they make no sense to our feeble human minds does not lessen our obligation to observe them in the least.
Chr*stianity's "supersession" of Jewish ritual mitzvot is basically the same as liberalism's rejection of non-humanistic morality.
