I don’t believe these schools close for Jewish holidays so why a Muslim holiday? I remember my husband’s cousin and wife laughing with us at dinner one night. Seems they went to a school in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood (one in which I used to live, in fact). They each assumed the other was Jewish like most kids... so one day along comes one of the Jewish holidays and the school is OPEN but nobody is in there class except maybe six kids. They looked at each other and realized, “Hey, he/she is not Jewish.” It was love! They were both Catholic. ha ha. I love the story.
In the old days, you took the holiday and didn’t need a school to endorse you or your beliefs. Just like if they stopped Christmas, most Christians would just use a vacation day. The real ones anyway.

This should be unconstitutional since it is the recognition of a political system antithetical to the the American system. The religious tenants of Islam(polygamy, honor killing, slavery, no free Will, no freedom of religion)are unconstitutional by any standard of evaluation. It is not compatible with Western Civilization, as it is practiced. It should be an outlawed “religion” because it is a political system more that a “religion” and should be eliminated from our culture because of the incompatibility.
Americans have the right and duty to preserve their culture and identity and the tenants of the Constitution. We should NOT be committing suicide. It is insane what these indoctrination centers are doing.

If not they would be called Persians, Jordanians, Egyptians, Israelis, Iraqi, Afgani,Yemeni, Ethiopian, Sudanese, Syrian, Turkish, Turks, Pakistani, Romanian, Indian…
This supposed holiday, will eventually be called 11/12 (the day after) a celebration over America and domination of Islam as a State interest; to be followed by Sharia Law.

Let’s see - Christmas vacation has been replaced with “Winter Break”, Easter by “Spring break” and now they want to put in a muslim holiday!! Even thanksgiving is being erased. This is beyond outrageous.

It’s interesting what you say about Thanksgiving. I was talking to a Jewish friend recently about the rise in interest of the lovely harvest holiday of Succot. It’s become very popular in the Northeast. She said offhandedly, “It’s replacing Thanksgiving.” I was truly appalled and as usual, was too shocked TO SAY ANYTHING.
She is only one person and I have Jewish blood on my maternal side (I now know why I have such a good sense of humor!), so don’t flame me. I am a major Zionist but was sadly taken aback by this statement.
