Few things will thrill the people of DE more than Obama campaigning for Coons. This is almost the greatest news since the Resurrection, to paraphrase H.L. Mencken.

The Dems really need this win because:
1. Obama screwed the pooch when his WH leaked the Hillary for VP story. Now they owe Biden a favor so they have to keep his seat warm for lil' Biden.
2. If O'Donnell wins, she will be seated immediately as a replacement for Biden. Along with WV and Illinois, and some other replacement senators, she could be a firewall against a Dem lame duck session.

Is the Obama fundraiser necessary because supporters for Coons were niggardly?

Why would Obama need to campaign for Coons? Is he in trouble? He will be after Obama helps him out!
To: NYRepublican72
Yeah, there’s no way In-No-Way is going down. Surprisingly though a couple of his favorites didn’t have the cache in the primaries to pull off a win. I’m hoping for Djou to pull off Neil’s district, and also hoping that the governor here stays R.

Obama can claim that Coons won because he campaigned for him. That’s my take.
