Biden riles the crowd: 'You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to' By Jordan Fabian - 10/07/10 02:48 PM ET

Vice President Joe Biden got a laugh from his audience at a Wisconsin fundraising event Thursday when he tried to rile the crowd about the economic collapse of 2008.

“We want to reward people who manufacture things in the United States, in Wisconsin, not to take them overseas to China and to other countries!” he said to a silent room at the event for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Barrett, according to a White House pool report.

He continued, saying “You’re the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to," at which point he got applause and laughs. "Do you realize how many jobs Wisconsin lost? It’s staggering!"

Biden and President Obama have made frequent campaign stops in recent weeks in an attempt to jolt Democrats who are lagging Republicans in voter enthusiasm measures, in part due to the slowing pace of the economic recovery under the administration's watch.

Biden's appearance Thursdsay was in the Wisconsin's state capital Madison, which hosted a crowd of 26,000 to see President Obama speak at rally targeted at young voters the week before.

The vice president has argued at previous that Democrats have begun to reverse the momentum that had them sliding to large losses on Election Day. He has also taken several pointed shots at the GOP, jokingly saying this week that he would "strangle" Republicans who talk about the deficit.

On Thursday, he took a jab at the House GOP's "Pledge to America," governing agenda.

“The pledge half baked…folks, we’ve been in that oven before," he said. "This pledge is a threat to America."

Wow. Just wow. If Biden thinks they're dull, they must have mud for brains.

He’s a criminal and a lying psycopath that just happened to end up in politics.

You say that like it's unexpected or something.

WRONG! But -what would one expect from the mouth of a socialist who is clueless about economics and the free market? He thinks GM is a success -the moron...

Government needs to get out of the way -market participants will determine value and competition will reduce costs and inspire innovation -those that make the cut will be rewarded and will in turn reward the economy...

not to take them overseas to China and to other countries

I don't want businesses going out of state, much less to China. That's not the issue.

If Shameless Joe Biden is so pro-US and anti-Sino, then why didn't he stop the shameless transfer via Fanny/Freddie of America's wealth to China?

He doesn't wat to send jobs, but he's OK with sending them mega-billions of bucks.

What a numbnutz.

Biden and his son harrassed Larry Sinclair to keep him quiet and out of Obozo’s way.

Obozo owed Joe Biden.

Freepers may feel free to add to this short list of other idiotic RAT policies which drive our manufacturing overseas.

Don't forget that manufacturing, in addition to all of those things, has a unique cross to bear: product liability litigation run amok. And who are the tort lawyers best friends? Democrats! Who refuses every proposal to restore some sanity and equity to the situation? Democrats!

Did you mean as company for pigs or as food for pigs?

It's a lose-lose. As company, he'll bore them to death if he talks, annoy them if he tries to "date" them, and give us all mad pig if they eat him.

Perhaps also the dumbest crowd, since they didn’t realize he’d insulted them. It’s not the crowd that was dull, Mr. Gaffemeister.

And so’s the guy I’m standing on. But he’ll be voting for me in the next election, and you can, too, with a little help from ACORN.

The problem is Biden doesn't want the free market to reward them, in place of bureaucracies socialists can control.
