Former vice-presidential hopeful and Alaska governor Sarah Palin is scheduled to spend today in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach as she fulfills a promise she made to local Internet entrepreneur Chris Ruddy after the two hit it off at the Kentucky Derby in May.
Although Ruddy didnt comment, several sources are telling me the comely Conservative pol, an inspiration for many members of the Tea Party, is expected at the Village Boulevard offices of Newsmax.com, Ruddys West Palm-based political website.
There, Palin is scheduled to be interviewed by GOP pundit Michael Reagan, former Prez Ronald Reagans son, during the taping of a webcast to be aired on Newsmax.com next week.
Palin is starting to create a buzz about her new book, America By Heart, due out next month.
Tonight, Newsmax bigs are hosting Palin at a private dinner at The Breakers. Two dozen Conservative heavy-hitters are flying in for the occasion. The guest list is being kept hush-hush.
No public appearance by Palin has been scheduled.

I disagree because that's the day of the Super Bowl.
But Palin is someone who can pull it off....

CNN mentioned it as an anti-abortion event...which I'm sure it was, but they didn't mention it was non-political and sponsored by a Baptist church!
No big deal...'cept in CNN's intent.

I think the announcement will be in March or later. If Todd doesn’t race in the Iron Dog next year (Feb.’11) then we know someting is up. Sarah wouldn’t announce before the race. Once Sarah commits its a whole new ball game.

I didn't realize that the Super Bowl was that day, I assume the celebration of the Reagan anniversary will be the following week (President Reagan postponed the parties for his second inauguration because the Super Bowl was on January 20, 1968) and she will do it then. Look for Rush and Michael Reagan to introduce her.

Me too. But if the heavy hitters feel as we do, if with all their experience that can so lead to small expectations they find themselves hopeful and believing in the depth of Sarah's dedication to elevate our culture with returning to our foundations and 'doing the right thing no matter
what the consequence...well....it will be one of the most productive and fun and hopeful and joyous dinners ever.
I admit it....I would LOVE to know every detail about this dinner (The Breakers is so beautiful!!), even if it is just a 'get to know you' kinda thing. I doubt anyone knows, for certain, Sarah's goals right now other than destroying the ruinous congress that sits in DC. and rebuilding it with people who love our nation.

I doubt it, she will use the Reagan anniversary as a backdrop, it's too perfect.

Maybe, or maybe the Hannity segment was taped earlier today - at least that’s my guess. I think this dinner will go later into the night.

"I won't get too political tonight, but I just can't help it sometimes," a smiling Sarah Palin told a Houston audience Tuesday night, shortly before lighting into what she called "the mother of all unfunded mandates called Obamacare" and "the most pro-abortion president ever to occupy the White House." Speaking for nearly 50 minutes to an audience of approximately 1,000 people at Houston's First Baptist Church, Palin also shared what she called "a little bit of my testimony" about being the mother of a child born with Down syndrome.
She also spoke about her daughter Bristol's experience as a single mother at 17.
The event was a fundraiser for Austin-based Heroic Media, a nonprofit advertising group that develops mass-media campaigns aimed at persuading women not to have abortions. The group was founded in 2004 by retired businessman Brian Follett, who originally named it after St. Gerard Majella, patron saint of pregnant women.

The guys at Hillbuzz think shell announce on his birthday in his hometown. There's going to be some sort of BIG celebration either at the Library or his hometown, she will be at the one where Rush and Michael are. I was not aware that the Super Bowl was that day, so I assume the major events will be the week after.

Wouldn't it be sweet if she announced during halftime, on mid-field? Or even on an another network during halftime?
But yeah, she'll probably do it on Thur or Fri of that week so the SB stuff can die down.

I love her. Reminds me of President Bush breaking a vacation to fly to DC to sign the republican formed to request the court reconsider the plight of Teri Schiavo. I loved him for that and I will always admire it. It had to fly during the night in order to sign it pronto as time was getting so short for Teri's chance at justice.
Sarah spoke there because of an invite that provided her a forum to speak her deep held belief in the sanctity of life. No pay, no press, just love in her heart.

Nope, me neither, and Sarah also has TV commitments which carry into the new year. Her series on Alaska is 8 weeks with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, likely filled with other shows, so that brings her 8 segment series well in 2011.
Then she has her million dollar contract with Fox News to consider, so she can afford to wait to announce until she’s ready and has everything in place on the ground. Let her see who’s declared...lol. She doesn’t need or want a huge campaign filled with “know it all advisors”, so all she wants and needs are grassroot volunteers and I’m will to wager she won’t fall short on “us.”.
