The guy Ravi taped was his roommate and was gay. Ravi was tired of walking into his dorm room and catching his roommate being intimate with guys. So he decided to tape him. Bad situation all around.
perhaps the family did not know and would have disowned him if they found out.
either way this does seem to be a stalking type situation and worthy of at least manslaughter charges.

I am not from Iceland - just visiting. This is not a gay issue and I am not promoting a gay agenda. It is about two bullies who hopefully will get at least 5 years in jail. Ravi might get more.
What if it had been your daughter or sister on a live feed? What if it was your bank or health records Ravi posted on teh web?

There are certain places where people can reasonably expect to have privacy. A college dorm room is not one of those places.
Why did this student decide to have sex in a place where he knew that his roommate or any other person could walk in on him at any time? Obviously, the student was not modest or private.
I would not room with such a person.
Why would he commit suicide? He obviously didn’t care who saw him.
