Although no final decision has been made because of family considerations, ABC News has learned that White House officials are preparing for Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel to announce on Friday -- as Congress adjourns for recess -- that he is leaving his post to explore a run for mayor of Chicago.

Someone in Chicago is talking big time. My guess is that it's Tony the R, Obama's good fairy who's undoubtedly tired of his moving parts rusting away after many months in Club Fed.
Rahm isn't running for mayor....that's just the cover Obama is granting him for face-saving purposes.
I'm in a Chicago suburb at the moment....it's safe plus a great catbird seat to watch the goings-on. Da Mare dropping out, Blago and the whole city pitted against Fitz, the imminent arrival of the ousted Chief-of-Staph, and O'Bama's Chicago squeeze, Oprah, slowly closing down her show on her way to obscurity.......what a delicious menu to pick from in the coming weeks.

They’re all resigning now because none of them want to be in the White House when the avalanche of subpoenas from the Republican controlled House committees hit. Essentially, the rats are deserting the sinking Ship of Rats.
Probably also worried about being called as a witness in the next Blago trial.

OCTOBER 1 is the beginning of the new federal fiscal year. Something Axelrod and Rahm have been up to with public money at the White House doesn’t withstand public scrutiny. Hope whoever is in the new Congress will have the guts to scrutinize all the “black budgets” in the White House—if the docs aren’t destroyed this weekend!!!
