FBI serves terrorism warrants in Minn., Chicago

The FBI said it searched eight addresses in Minneapolis and Chicago as part of a terrorism investigation Friday. Warrants suggest agents were looking for connections between local anti-war activists and terrorist groups in Colombia and the Middle East.

FBI spokesman Steve Warfield told The Associated Press agents served six warrants in Minneapolis and two in Chicago.

"These were search warrants only," Warfield said. "We're not anticipating any arrests at this time. They're seeking evidence relating to activities concerning the material support of terrorism."

The homes of longtime Minneapolis anti-war activists Mick Kelly, Jess Sundin and Meredith Aby were among those searched, they said. All three were subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury in Chicago: Aby on Oct. 5, Sundin on Oct. 12 and Kelly on Oct. 19.

"We shall see."

I believe we have already seen, due to lack of major attacks on our soil and the weekly busts of Mo's followers.

You nor I nor others on this public forum will ever know how much the clandestine services protect us. Think Special Operations folks, as in, SEAL's, Special Forces, Ranger/Snipers/Delta, Navy EOD, etc. Occasionally, someone leaks some busts. Or the Administration lets the info out.

Just so you know: I did a job for the Naval Investigative Service (NIS - now, NCIS..think TV show) back in my Navy days. I did some undercover work for them while stationed in Rota, Spain. We helped to bust a major heroin ring in Gibraltar. While I was just a "mule buyer" (target), it took a lot of planning and I came to realize and appreciate how much investigative services work. They plan everything down to the last detail. This was in 1980...before satellite tracking (GPS), cell-phone video, small video cameras, and all the other tech we have today.

I can't give you specifics since the CIA was involved, but you get my drift, right? So yes, heads should have been put on spikes over the Ruby Ridge incident. Waco was just waiting to happen between a dumbshit cultist and an over-zealous Attorney General.

Just please don't think all clandestine people are looking to bust or kill you (although the cabinet post of Homeland Security should go away yesterday). They now have bigger fish to fry in protecting their own AND us, plus those days are long past with Fox News and the Internet. As I tell people who are anxious to see a second "civil war", we live in a different world now.

I'm just a simple ex-aviation sailor. I have no deep insight into the clandestine services, other than my small experience above. I only have that and logic.

I think you should be appreciative of the rank and file who are working so hard at the Pentagon and Langley while analyzing data and are infiltrating the ranks of al-Queda and the Taliban and others who want to blow your family into particles, not to mention the numerous Special Ops people who go through hell just to protect us.

We both know that bad guys exist on this Planet, right? The clandestine organizations are the people who are stopping those bad guys from doing more harm. You should thank them. I do.

BTW, ole son, "rendition" is way okay with me. Friggin water-board those potential terrorists if it provides intel to stop the next terrorist attack.

Hell, our own SEALs go through the same experience. So do other elite US military. They put a cloth over the face while having water poured on their face, so they can't catch their breath, to make them feel like they are drowning. They do this to train for survival, not to mention having their respirators yanked out of their mouths while doing water survival training. So what? The bad guys should get less?

I know what it's like to feel your drowning. I was surfer in my early days and took a bad wave and took water into my lungs. More importantly, I talked with SEAL trainees (after Hell Week) at Coronado, North Island, San Diego when I was TDY there.

Bottom line: Water-board the shit out of potential terrorists. Yes, some may be innocent, but as I stated above, better them than my loved ones. Collateral damage is a bitch in warfare, and we are at war with Islam. I simply don't trust one single moslem as far as I could spit on him. They can all just be covered in pig s**t and die for all I care.

Whoops! No heaven for them. What a ridiculous concept.
Got Rinds? Give me pork chops right now!

Amen to that. THANK YOU FBI and CIA and whoever else is hard at work every day, seeing to it that we don’t have to absorb another terrorist attack. Even if our President says we can.

“It will be interesting if the teachers union and school does not suspend her in light of a terrorism investigation. “

And then her position will become available. Another job created or preserved!!!

Am I mistaken or did the FBI have to take orders from Reno?

If they had to take orders from Reno I am not sure what they could have done about it.

Ruby Ridge happened under President George H. W. Bush. His Attorney General for the Ruby Ridge murders was William Barr.

Waco happened under Clinton and Reno was his Attorney General.

Serve them warrants.

Yeah. That’ll help a lot.

To notify them to run...

Yup.  When the Feds bust the door down, they'll be staring at four empty walls and dirty carpet.

FARC does have connections in the Democrat Party.

They endorsed John Effen Kerry in 2004.

It’s nteresting these searches come on the heals of the only notable attack on the FARC in recent history:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2595196/posts

September 23, 2010 | Investors Business Daily staff

Excerpt:

“Colombia’s army blew away the field marshal of FARC’s narco-terror war Wednesday, showing with a jolt that to win, it’s terrorists who must “absorb” attacks, not innocents. Mexico and the U.S. have much to learn.”

“Seems the adage that Colombia is the only country where guerrillas die of old age isn’t true anymore.”

(…)

“The Colombian army suffered no deaths and left at least 20 guerrillas dead on the jungle floor. Briceno’s demise marks the fourth knockout of FARC’s seven-man “Politburo”since 2008.”

If the FBI is raiding the homes of marxists, then I know of an address they should put on their list. The address is close to the FBI headquarters. Will the trail lead there? With a minimum of investigative work, I’d wager it would. But, would it be followed-up and disclosed, I’d wager not now, not ever.

Meanwhile, it seems a bit odd when the FBI focuses on some smaller fries in the marxist movement, especially when the big kahuna is occupying the White House.

It’s obvious, at least to me, these people are/were friends of Obama. So why did he turn on them, to sick the dogs on them?

Here is a puzzle. When LEOs, known to be corrupt in many instances, and known to plant evidence many times, confiscate your computer in a fishing expedition, how are we to know they didn’t, somewhere along the way, insert a flashdrive to place on the computer the evidence they need to discover? Bottom line, we don’t. We simply take their word for it. Yet, knowing what we know about corruption in govt, and LE, should we simply take their word for it? I don’t think so.

Besides, I figure smart criminals keep their incriminating data on a flash drive, and not on their PC. Especially when knowing LE can burst in at anytime to confiscate their PC. Which means, only a dumb bass would keep his sensitive, self incriminating data, on his PC. This is SOP.

In the final, these raids appear to be more akin to a propaganda stunt, than some active search for terrorists. A stunt, executed, and orchestrated, from the White House.

For those who don’t know me, I have learned over the years to be skeptical of LE, and especially fed govt. I don’t trust anything they might say or do until confirmed beyond reasonable doubt. My skepticism goes back to Ruby Ridge, where I had a true awakening to the murder for hire potential of fed LE.

Interesting that you mention Bill Ayers as both he and Iosbaker are on staff at UIC. (Ok, well Ayers is now retiring and not getting Emeritus status thanks to Christopher Kennedy!!!)

Iosbaker is Chief Steward for the SEIU Local 73.

Iosbaker is pictured here leading the charge at that Republic Windows lockout

with them going after anti-war people, soon enough it will be anti-government, anti-health care people and terrorists of those sorts. They are using such a broad brush to paint a label on people anymore its basically coming down to if you dont agree with us we’re coming after you.

All cut from the same cloth as Bill Ayers, and his cop killing wife Bernardine Dohrn.
This is why we need the FBI to keep it up, certainly without abusing their authority. Hindsight is 20/20 but if they kept closer tabs on Ayers, Dhorn and all the other usual suspects back in the 70's the Brink's holdup in Nanuet, NY just might have been averted. Two cops and a security guard were killed and many innocent bystanders were at risk(no biggie if any of them were caught in the crossfire. They would just be deemed "collateral damage" in the name of social justice)
