The president’s approval rating now stands at 42 percent – an all time low in CNN polling and 8 points lower than where Obama was only three weeks ago. Moreover, 56 percent of all Americans think the president has fallen short of their expectations…

In even worse news for congressional Democrats, likely voters say they are considerably more likely to vote for a candidate the president opposes than one he supports. On the other hand, 50 percent of voters said they would be more likely to vote for a Tea Party-backed candidate while a third of Americans said Tea Party support would dissuade their vote for a candidate.

Soe rules surely apply, like “What goes up comes back down.” “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” Not to mention: “Whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad.”

“I wonder how people were so idiotic to vote for this guy.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Me too! The worst part is that most of them voted for him with an attitude of being “cool” or superior to us redneck racists(in their opinion) who opposed him. I have more respect for the few pure cynics who voted for him because they planned to benefit by his actions, at least they knew what they were doing. Most Obama voters, many of whom were “highly educated” holders of advanced university degrees were simply willfully ignorant fools who lack the sense and courage to find out what the truth is and look it in the face. Anyone who watched Obama’s acceptance speech and took it seriously and still voted for him should hire someone to beat him with a bullwhip for his stupidity. A clown with ZERO real world executive experience stands on a stage and promises to DEFEAT POVERTY, DISEASE AND CLIMATE CHANGE and does not become an instant laughing stock, America has gone nuts.

Insiders say he is obsessive about his own polls. I love it! These polls must have increased his nicotine intake by at least 100%.

...with Obama and the Dems I take nothing for granted...he’s got $19.5 billion left in BP shakedown money from BP...that’s more than enough to buy re-election in ‘12...

He bought off everyone he's ever going to be able to buy off with the $900 billion "stimulus." Who's left to be bought off? How much would you sell your vote for?

is that possible given his black base that will never ever desert? Blacks were estimated to be 12.9% of the population in 2009.

Not likely, if you add in the Mexicans, government workers, union members, mooslims, Jews and most Methodists.

When can we start calling Afghanistan “Obama’s unpopular war”?

How about Obama’s Quagmire, as well as “The Obama Depression”?

-30 would mean 65% disapprove, 35% approve. Since blacks are 13% of the population, yes it’s possible for 100% of blacks to maintain their support for zero and for him to nevertheless hit -30. -30 would indicate that about 2/3 of the population disapproves. That would probably be insurmountable in terms of re-election, particularly when you consider how high he was riding 18 months ago. There are one helluva lot of unhappy, very disappointed voters out there for him to be in the shape he’s in only a year and a half later.

I think some middle-class blacks who have lost their jobs and/or are about to lose their health care secretly don’t support zero but won’t say so because they refuse to admit their bro is an epic failure.

He met my expectations - I expected a Marxist Chicago street punk Dem/Union Machine politician, and that's exactly what I got.

Not so fast there eeyore - if we win big in Nov and control at least the House then much is different. IF, big if, the GOP finally pushes back, defunds, investigates, etc.
