You don't need a parachute to skydive. You need a parachute to skydive twice.
You don’t need a parachute to skydive.”
True. You need a parachute to land.

In one piece
This story sounds like the plot line for an old episode of “Columbo”.
Not very smart but somehow classy.
Bingo! The moment I saw the title that is what I thought. I clicked on it to see if anyone else thought so!
I was thinking “Murder, She Wrote”. Columbo did have an episode in which a sleazy preacher depicted by Johnie Cash kills his pilot by drugging his coffee and then parachuting from the plane. (Details blurry.)
She probably did it, but didn’t the guy also have access to the parachute? Would actually need some more info to decide guilt and would assume the prosectors have it.
In aviation there is a distinction between a good landing and a great landing. It's a good landing if you can walk away. It's a great landing if you can take off again in the airplane.
She looks like she needs two parachutes.
And if she’s found guilty, what? 1 year house arrest?
Reminded me of something my old man used to say:
It’s not the fall that’ll kill you - it’s the sudden stop.
LOL!!! Ah, yes, the oneupsmanship here at Free Republic.

Nice work and good wit!
That’s one way to handle relationship problems. LOL
