Stupid, idiotic democrats.
They actually, really, believe that they can improve their standings for the upcoming elections by resorting to pop-culture and satirical based stunts to win votes.
But then again, much of their base lives in this world.
Remember the Obama voters who listed Bill Maher and John Stewart as sources for their news???
Idiots.

What the He77 is going on in Washington anymore? Why could/would/should anyone consider this guy worth hearing on any serious topic? Geeze, the libs have lowered this country's standards so far that a clown is giving advice? It was bad enough when they had fools like Biden saying stupid things, now they are bringing in the sideshow people!
Soon we can tear down the impressive buildings in DC and just erect circus tents and sell peanuts to people who want to watch the political curiosities at work.

I’d like to know who invited him in the first place. I hope he gets Conyers back by ripping him on his show. I tend to doubt it though...

Colbert mugs: 'I'm here at the invitation of the chairwoman, and if she would like me to remove myself from the hearing room I am happy to do so. I'm only here at her invitation'... Hysterical - Conyer's being told to go "F" himself by Colbert - LOL.

Conyers; “Colbert, get out”.
Colbert; Ya, I think I will go visit your wife. Which cell is she in?”

I don't know. I thought I saw one of the aides sitting behind the congresscritters rush over to Conyers and whisper something in his ear after he made that comment. I figured it was to remind him that Colbert's appearance was a cheap partisan stunt designed to give the hearing more visibility.

REP. CONYERS: ‘I’m asking you to leave the committee room completely, and submit your statement’
COLBERT: Sure. By the way, here’s a pack of smokes you can take to your wife. I hear they come in handy in the joint.

What a mess. The Dims can’t even hold a simple congressional hearing without screwing it up.

What are these people doing testifying in the first place? We all know Congress is a bunch of clowns, but this is ridiculous.
BTW, didn’t conyers wife just get convicted? Maybe he’s grouchy...

Its still on as afar as I know; but face it. Its college football season (the ‘rally’ is set for a Saturday); it might be cold in DC, its the day before Halloween.
A couple hundred diehards might show. Like everything ‘planned’ by the left it will be an abysmal failure; but...like everything on the left ‘their intentions were good’ so it will be reported that 46 gazillion people showed up.

I would say that Colbert’s appearance makes a mockery of Congress, but Congress has already done that so I guess it’s moot.

Dimrat politicians love to rub elbows with celebrities. They called in Marryl streep to testify about a pesticide used by apple growers. She played a farmer’s wife in a movie so that made her an expert.
As Rush says, politics is show business for the ugly.

Both Colbert and Conyers prove that the speed of light is superior to the speed of sound, since looking at them they appear that they might be bright but when they open their mouths and speak they show how stupid they really are.

You know what? Good for Conyers. He was invited to testify, not to give a time-wasting performance.
