Friends, the Wilmington News Journal (Wilmington,DE) is running a poll at the link--Mike Castle is considering a write-in campaign. What do these RINOs not understand about losing a primary? We have another possible Murkowski on our hands.

I think he should, with Karl Rove as his campaign manager.

Yes - It will splith the dem vote and ensures that Coons won't be the next Senator. It might even give O’Donnell a shot at it.

Castle is a Democrat who has run as a Republican, so he can vote with Democrats and damage the Republican Party. Being a Democrat plant in the Republican Party, he doesn’t have the decency to bow out when fairly beaten by the democratic process. That shows us what he thinks of our Republic and Democracy. Castle regards himself as one of the privileged elites who is entitled to royalty, and the establishment pukes who have done all they can to destroy O’Donnell think just like him.

Why don’t Castle, Crist, Lazio, and Murkowski just form their own party?

I think this would actually be a positive development. If nothing else, it makes sure that 100% of O’Donnell’s primary votes come out on election day, but it probably rankles enough others to make O’Donnell very competitive. Sure doesn’t seem to be hurting Joe Miller at all.

He should run like diarrhea.

Just like Murkowski and Crist, they’ll split the DEM vote.
The old rules don’t apply anymore.

I actually think, that with Grahm, Snowe and Leiberman, they just might. The Democrats are moving left so fast that their reflections are getting Doppler shifted. The Conservatives have gotten strong enough that they no longer have to cater to every whim of the RINOs. So there are two groups, who are used to being pampered poodles, who suddenly find themselves is a world of Rottweilers and pit bulls. With both sides demanding loyalty and spoiling for a fight there will be little room for deal makers who regularly change sides. The people willing to reach across the isle are suddenly unwanted by either party.
I think we might see a three party realignment for a few election cycles with the Conservatives, RINOs and DINOs, and the Progressive Socialists each running candidates. Of course there is no place in the US system for a permanent third party. After a few cycles they will merge with a very much diminished Democrat party.

In this case, Castle as a write-in candidate would be wonderful. Unlike Murky, who doesn’t have a chance to win, Castle would be in the race.
In fact, he would make Coons an also-ran, immediately.
That said, the race would be COD vs. Castle, a replay on the primary. And that replay would take place in the backdrop of a write-in campaign, a notoriously difficult thing to win.
I would see a Castle write-in campaign as little more than changing the Democrat opponent from a devout Marxist to a center-left Dem. That would be a good thing.
