As far as I am concerned he is the most hated man in the GOP, I dislike him 20 times more than McCain even, I cannot believe this guy
Freepers are better than this... It was a good interview and if those that commented and did not watch, please do yourself and FR some good and get the transcript or watch the rerun.
Anybody bashing Rove at this point is responding to things he said recently. Not necessarily during the particular show.
He is smarter but he is also working for the Republican establishment and the left wing republican ruling class. These people would rather have the marxist win in delaware than a conservative... easier for them to get along with and more ideologically compatible.
The establishment republicans and Rove are part of the problem not part of the cure.
I almost feel this thread needs to be pulled since it is not remotely accurate
Agree that Rove actually walked back maybe about 50%. Last week, he was literally frothing at the mouth. Tonight, he was complimentary, but guarded/cautious. I don’t know, but it’s a bit “convenient”. “Mr Republican”/the “architect” goes absolutely apoplectic over this relatively unknown, Palin-like candidate for senate. Everyone’s scratching their heads, saying where was this outrage for other candidates with warts in their past. All this in an environment in which the singular driving force, the Tea Party, in this election doesn’t like either party’s “establishment”. Result? Unknown candidate raises > $2 Million in a week (comparison: Sharonn Angle, in one of the most consequential races in the country has raised about $3M in 3 months or so). Unknown candidate in Delaware now has a huge warchest (she’ll probably be > $3M by 2 wks after her primary victory) and she is receiving the strongest emotional support from that critically mobilized Tea Party faithful. Also, libs/RINOs/media have piled on, making O’Donnell even more sympathetic in the eyes of the group that’s most important in this election (”moderate” Repub voters aren’t providing election energy for anybody this cycle). She’s got tons of $, and now can blanket the airwaves with ads, hire the cream of the crop in seasoned campaign operatives, blow off the national media (because they’re obviously out to destroy her) so she only needs to do what really is impt, namely retail politics in a very small state; chances are, she’ll be pretty good at this, especially compared to the bland bearded Marxist. Forgetting the polls for a minute, all of a sudden she’s looking pretty good. Someone knew the “formula” for this cycle - Scott Brown’s race was the template. Attractive candidate (physically) but with little “substantive” past and some checkered moments (posed nude for Pete’s sake!) in a very blue state with a bland, functionary lib opponent. Down big early, entire Tea Party faithful are mobilized, he raised big $ quickly, and cleans Marsha’s clock. Sound familiar?
I’m not saying this was at all staged, but sometimes you have to question “coincidences” (and look, everything’s happening on Hannity’s show - Rove meltdown, O’Donnell homerun appearance, Rove beginning the walk back). Hmmmm. (Time to adjust my tinfoil hat!!)
What difference does it make what he says now,
when he initiated all the vicious false statements endlessly
repeated by the DNC?
I agree....someone needs to find & post a transcript.
I saw it and IMHO he was genuinely praising her efforts.
Scythian makes the vague statement that Rove was ‘railing’ on her with no details...and the flame-throwers go nuts!
Has anyone heard (except for Castle himself) any of those actual liberal politicians criticize Christine? Have Snowe or Collins said anything bad after she won? Has McConnell said anything bad after she won? No, only neocons, or in Roves case, someone tied very closely with the Bush neocon foreign policy.
I changed the channel as soon as I saw his ugly mug.
Too late to backpedal, Karl...the mask slipped. I’m beginning to think Hannity is playing conservatives for suckers, as well...
I agree 100%
I remember when I first heard Rush...and thought, "Here's a guy who thinks like me!" I was there before I ever heard of Rush. He is entertaining and says things in a clever way that we already believed.
DID you watch the show?
How can a man so right be so wrong? Yesterday’s warrior...
Recheck my post please.
Only six weeks to go and she is being very gratuitous to these pukes, more than they deserve.
“Railing? He was actually fairly complimentary.”
I agree. He was finally saying the right things. I guess he took quite a pounding.
Only a few seemed to actually watch Hannity tonight. The rest are knee jerk reactionaries using the thread to post their inane hatred for Rove.
You missed Rove saying GOOD THINGS about O’donnell. He said the exact opposite of what this thread says
People need to grow up around here. Knee jerk reactions have become the norm.
