We still have a double standard. Women having sex with minor boys is just a big joke. Men having sex with minor girls is a crime.

I went to catholic school.

We had a nun. . . Sr. Mary Killakid; she threw a party for us (8th grade).

It included knuckle beatings with her ruler, tepid water, ave maria sung in latin, and by rote recitals of the baltimore catechism.

And this was one of the FUN parties!!!

Yeah. I don't like these threads. I have a dark sense of humor -- and on some threads people have responded negatively to some of my efforts at humor. But I don't do the "not guilty" type of comments.

I think these situations are sad and disturbing. Society has (mostly) decided that middle-aged men drugging up and having sex with 13-year-old girls is "bad". But we're very slow to see it the same way if the genders are reversed. It's just sick and damaging, as far as I'm concerned.

Sarah Jane Lindsay, 42, of 438 Maplecroft St., and Audrey Beidleman Grabarkiewicz, 44, of 230 Sandy Drive, were taken into custody by Spartanburg County sheriff's deputies Monday. Police had been investigating since a parent came forward with a complaint in July.

July? The kids got "summer schooled"? I am so freaking jealous.

When my 8th grade spanish teacher, Ms. Casaro would roll those R’s off her tongue, the boys in the class would excuse themselves.

And here is where the difference in generations take hold. Today if she did that, quite a few girls would also excuse themselves.
