How Bad is Lisa Murkowski?
American Thinker ^ | 21 September, 2010 | Bruce Walker

Posted on 09/21/2010 12:52:03 AM PDT by Terrence DoGood

How does Lisa Murkowski compare to other Republican senators from the Rocky Mountain region? Against her 68% ACU voting record, the other Republican senators in the region have these ACU voting records: Ensign (WY) 100%, Barasso (WY) 100%, Crapo (ID) 92%, Risch (ID) 96%, Hatch (UT) 88%, Bennett (UT) 84%, Ensign (NV) 100%, Kyl (AZ) 92%, and McCain (AZ) 96%. Lisa was much less conservative than Senator McCain, the archetypical RINO or Senator Bennett, the Utah Republican denied re-nomination this year. Lisa Murkowski, not Joe Miller, is out of touch with voters in the region.

It gets worse. Out of the 21 other Republican members of Congress from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico, every one had a conservative voting record better than Lisa Murkowski. Against her 2009 ACU voting record of 68%, the average Republican in Congress from this nine state region had a 2009 ACU voting record of 93%. It gets even worse. There are 319 House and Senate Republicans in Congress. Only eleven of those 319 in 2009 had an ACU voting record as bad as Lisa Murkowski. One of those eleven, Mike Castle, a political fixture in relatively leftist Delaware, was just defeated by a newcomer, Christine O'Donnell. None of these eleven other hyper-RINOs came from traditionally Republican conservative states like Alaska.

Could have been a historic victory and a giant leap forward for the republican party had she graciously supported the WINNER of the primary.

That should be Mike Enzi from Wyoming, not Ensign.

From a previous American Thinker article.

In 2006, McCain rated a ACU rating of 65%. He had an 82.?% lifetime rating back then. (Although I find that incredibly hard to believe in light of this http://www.hotr.us/mccain/mccainagain.html What would one have to do to get a lower ACU rating, go out and shoot Conservatives?

Some things scream out for correction don’t they. Har...

Heck, I wouldn’t mind if 100 people posted that info.

Thanks for doing it. It really grates me the free pass this guy gets, and he then spreads the joy to so many others in positions of leadership.

Yes, he teaches other Senators how to get over on the American people and he knows how to twist arms to get reluctant Senators to go along with him. My suspicion is that he learned a lot of that from his friend Teddy.

When we look back at John, it’s clear who he was hanging out with from day one in the Senate. Out of the Keating Five, he was the only Republican and the one who got the most money.

Since that time the grass never grew on the path over to the other side. John wore it down constantly.

I agree with your comments. It now looks like he’s going to have a block of six to eight Republicans who will do his bidding. He’s going to blackmail our party to game the system at his pleasure. That seriously rubs me the wrong way.

Yep, he picked up tricks from Kennedy, Kerry, Feingold, Lieberman... you name it. It’s his fraternization with Soros and company that is the most telling IMO.

That guy wants to take down the West. He’d done everything he can to accomplish it. And John is his bosom bud evidently.

There has been a concerted effort over the years for Democrats to infiltrate the GOP with people like this, IMHO

She was appointed by her father who's reputation since Palin beat him in the GOP Governor' primary in 2006 has suffered. The Democrats are not fond of the Murkowski Family as well. She is no better than any of the so called entitled politicians who think that:

1. Tax payers money belong to them not the people.

2. Their political office belong to them until they decide to pass it on to a relative or crony.

This is why as a registered Democrat for over 3 decades, I have not changed my party affiliation to the GOP. It is just not worth the effort. I vote for whom I please and right now it is the GOP candidate, especially if they have a TeaParty endorsement.

Anch businesses supported Lisa, they benefited from her pork. She has lost credibility with most Alaskans now. One buddy's wife voted for her; had met her several times; I about fell over. Now she's way mad, hates Lisa; kinda the mindset of many Alaskans who voted for her. Murkowski could be a spoiler and divide the conservative vote enough to allow another dem in; ain't that a bitch. When it's just between a dem & repub with semi clean records, te repub wins in Ak everytime. I guess Lisa is under Big "O"s desk for a future appointment.

Here in our community along the Yukon, even some of the Indians changed to repub to vote for Miller. Me thinks Miller will be OK.

I'm not an Alaskan, but I play a boomer named USS Alaska on FR, but she can't win, period.

The real question is, how much effect will this bitch have one whether Joe Miller wins, or the demonRAT beats him because the bitch peels off enough votes.

I haven't seen any polls since the bitch announced her intention to run as a write in.

Much as I hate to say this - she does have a chance.

She will get a lot of Dem votes and has the backing of powerful Unions and the Native Corporations.

IOW, all who feed at the Public trough back Lisa.....
