'Islamaphobia' another political tool

Today he shows that the Arab world is in agreement with those who think the Cordoba Mosque ought not to be built at ground zero and by a vast majority see Americans as tolerant.

Fouad Ajami reports on an opinion survey taken by a leading Arab electronic daily newspaper, regarding the Cordoba mosque and Islamic center to be located at or near (depending on your perspective) Ground Zero.

Keep in mind that domestic public opinion against the location is widely denigrated in the mainstream media, left-wing blogosphere, and academia, as necessarily reflecting Islamophobia.

But the survey of Arab opinion cited by Ajami shows that many, if not most, people in the Arab world agree that the location selection was unwise.  As reported in The Wall Street Journal (h/t HotAir)(emphasis mine):

The truth is that the trajectory of Islam in America (and Europe for that matter) is at variance with the play of things in Islam's main habitat. A survey by Elaph, the most respected electronic daily in the Arab world, gave a decided edge to those who objected to the building of this mosque-58% saw it as a project of folly.

Elaph was at it again in the aftermath of Pastor Terry Jones's threat to burn copies of the Quran: It queried its readers as to whether America was a "tolerant" or a "bigoted" society. The split was 63% to 37% in favor of those who accepted the good faith and pluralism of this country.

So does that make 58% of the Arab world "Islamophobic"?

Something is going on here which was obvious even before this survey.  The constant agitation over Islamophobia, like the constant use of the race card, is just another political tool to demonize people who happen to disagree.

Fear of militant theocratic Islam is not irrational. It has existed for a thousand years and has millions of proponents.

I have come to the conclusion that liberals actually fear them, which is why they were so against the koran burning and for the Cordoba Victory Mosk, etc., while they have no problem when sacrileges are committed against symbols of other religions, namely Christianity. And of course, burning the American Flag, well, that’s a right, don’t ya know.

The Left tried the same tactic in the 1940s-1960s when they called it a “Red Scare” fear of Communist infiltration into American schools, government, military, and media.

When it was proven that those Communists who were here had higher loyalties to the Soviet Unions they shrugged their shoulders and said “la la la, I can’t hear you, la la la, that was a long time ago, la la la, we didn’t know that Stalin was killing so many people, la la la, what else did Stalin do BESIDES that, you know, the GOOD things, la la la...”

They fear the public waking up. Just as they so wanted the 9-11 hijackers to be "Timothy McVeigh types" (as they said the week of the attacks). They so wanted the Ft. Hood shooting to be just another case of "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" or Workplace related violence.

They know that the publicly recognized burning of a koran would enflame the so-called moderates revealing them not to be so moderate at all.

Ask them what the Saudi government does with the non-Islamic religious texts they confiscate. They burn them under Islamic law. So much for tolerance and diversity on display.

If they don't fear them they ought to. If the Islamics manage to impose Sharia Law on this or any other Western nation the first groups they will persecute will be those identified as liberal. For example, can you imagine them allowing N.O.W. to exist?

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world. When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections in:

Guyana -- Muslim 10%

India -- Muslim 13.4%

Israel -- Muslim 16%

Kenya -- Muslim 10%

Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%

Chad -- Muslim 53.1%

Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Somalia -- Muslim 100%

Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.
