In the most anticipated speech at today's Values Voter Summit in Washington, Delaware's new GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell ignited the Omni Shoreham ballroom with a tangible buzz. She strode onto the stage to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," with orange spotlights sweeping the room. (None of the other afternoon speakers got a light show.) The packed crowd gave her an enthusiastic standing ovation, continuing to applaud long after she took the podium.

"her work and income history is poor"???

you mean you only want the people that have lots of money?...like Kerry?...like Bloomberg?...like the Kennedys?....

this is the change we are seeking....a regular normal person with normal person woes and worries....WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER SILVER SPOON LAWYER ...

this is unreal.....and pathetic....

and btw what is bamas' "work history"??? has he ever ever had a real job?...

and his money has come from who knows where...

but that must be acceptable to you.....as long as he can claim he "worked"... a community organizer"??? and he can attract money....unfortunately most of it probably illegal....

so he's your candidate all right...

Of course she can state what she believes but so can I and I believe GOP_Lady is a GOP hack. She is only looking out for the “party”. This mindset got this country into the mess we are in now. It brought us the likes of Obama and Nancy Pelosi. I am sick and tired of reading posts from these so called “conservative” types...Their goal is to get the GOP a majority regardless of how they get it.

She ain’t close to being a perfect candidate but those tools are aiding the enemy....

Sorry, Impy, but I'm getting just a little tired of being told to simply accept everything that comes along simply because it has an "R" after its name.

It's the same thing here in Michigan with the ostensibly "R" gubernatorial candidate, Rick Synder. I am less than enthused about his candidacy. I will vote for him, but Darkwolf's post still said it best for me--just substitute in male pronouns. (Original edited slightly for Sunday posting)

...Do I want her to beat the dem? D*mn straight I do. But I’ll be d*mned if I’m going to start praising her just because she has an R after her name with her quite obvious shortcomings. She has my support, but she has a long way to go to earn my respect.

Actually, Ms O'Donnell had BETTER win this election. Otherwise, I see absolutely no advantage to her candidacy. Ok, other than the fact that Beau Biden dropped out of the race...

It doesn’t effect the race to have an average citizen post negatively about her on the internet so go ahead. But it does matter when GOP talking heads bash her on TV. Rove and Kraut should shut their word holes if they don’t have anything useful to say. Instead of bitching on TV they should be trying to help. Nothing she has ever said is as “nutty” (Rove’s term) as the socialist crap that comes out of Coon’s mouth. Her “checkered” (Rove again) background is nothing compared to a that of a guy who started out as a Reaganite and left college a Marxist (Coons). I mean WTF he must have dropped a lot of acid. If Rove doesn’t agree then he can go to hell.

Snyder is believed to be a RINO. He is “ostensibly R”.

O’Donnell is a conservative. None of this stuff impacts her ability to vote the right way in the Senate which ultimately is the thing that matters. Let’s be real, her alleged bad character is nothing compared to the total lack of character on the part of every single rat in Senate and a few of the pubs too. Frankly she could like to sacrifice innocent kitty cats to Satan and I’d still gleefully support her against the likes of Castle and Coons.

It was her or Castle and I can’t be sure about RINO Synder but I bet he’s Jesse Helms compared to Castle. I’m glad his career is over. O’Donnell did us all a favor in eliminating him. If there was a third choice, a conservative without any of these “issues” I would have been for that person. But there wasn’t any third choice. She faces an uphill climb to win. Castle would have won easily and voted with the rats 60% of the time. Pick your poison. Kraut only cares about having an “R” in the seat. He doesn’t understand how big a RINO Castle is or he doesn’t care cause he’s one too.

Would we all be bashing a rat with these “issues”. Yeah. But so what? This about whether a conservative is sent to Senate or an Obamabot.

No, I support Ms. Angle because she is experienced and qualified. I have never seen a poorer candidate. Anyone can give a good speech, but it’s what you’ve done with your life that matters.

It does?

U.S.Grant was a total failure as a civilian.

He was also suppose to have a drinking problem.

Fortunately, Lincoln saw one thing he liked-he could fight.

That is the kind of people we need today.

Yes, it says something about how much O’Donnell has shaken the RINO Establishment.

There is nothing further to 'debate'. She is the candidate-period!

Attacks on her do one thing, help the cause of the Democrats.

So, talking about how her past, isn't constructive, it is purposefully done to undermine her.

That is why the counter-attacks have been so forceful, these anti-COD comments are 5th column attacks, nothing less.

Experience, background, intellect—I guess those are qualities for the snobs, right? Who needs ‘em? Of course, when the dem candidates didn’t have them we were all over them...once upon a time.

No, we aren't on the Democrats because of those, we are all over the Democrats because of how they vote!

If they had none of the above and voted correctly, we weren't care about any of it.

They may be correct in analysis of candidates, but they haven't a clue about the average American, that is why they are stunned by the loss of the elections of all of their buddies.

And so far you haven't said one thing that would stop me from supporting her

Did you know Andrew Jackson was married to his wife before she was offically divorced?

Wonderful Presidential material.

No doubt Rove and Krauthammer would have rejected him as a candidate as well.

“Frankly she could like to sacrifice innocent kitty cats to Satan and I’d still gleefully support her...”

I pray she’s open to the fun of cell phones and light sabres. If so, I would marry her today! She’s 41, so she could still sire me an heir or two. OH YEAH!!!
