In the most anticipated speech at today's Values Voter Summit in Washington, Delaware's new GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell ignited the Omni Shoreham ballroom with a tangible buzz. She strode onto the stage to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," with orange spotlights sweeping the room. (None of the other afternoon speakers got a light show.) The packed crowd gave her an enthusiastic standing ovation, continuing to applaud long after she took the podium.

Seems like many here like to throw their weight around because they can…

Bullies contribute nothings but ill will!

If you had an opinion different from mine and I was in the majority should I feel good because I can imitated, I can rip you apart, because I know I have a lot of back up on FR!

After all when Krauthammer and Rove disagreed they stated their opinion of their years of experiences.

I don’t consider them bullies like some act here!

I can understand them, their choice they were thinking Castle was a sure thing to help the numbers towards the Republicans being the majority.

But there is also a downside to Castle with an R by his name, he tends to vote moderate or worst at times!

Now the Tea Party folks are exercising their faith that Christine O’Donnell gets it, sense she walked the walk in this unleveled playing field which the Moderates and progressive have created for Americans.

I just think Gop_lady should be able to express her opinion and if others disagree stop attacking and start debating!

I find the style of many here so uncharitable yet they want good government why not start treating each other as the Lord taught!

“Like I said, this is the worst candidate that I have seen since I have been voting since 1979.”

You mean you didn't say that in 1994 when Mitt Romney tried to outliberal Teddy Kennedy in that infamous debate?

Yours is one of the best posts on here in recent days. The venom that some have been spewing is nothing short of Stalinesque. Anyone who dares to have even the slightest doubts about their positions or candidates is immediately and viciously attacked. You would think that people here had copied the DU blueprint of silencing all dissent. If your opinions cannot stand up to dissent, and if you feel the need to throw about the RINO and TROLL labels the moment someone questions something that you believe, then your position might not have much merit. If your position has merit, then you can back it up with facts and reason, and you can show the other side why your position has merit. The moment you throw around an ad hominem assault, you automatically concede your position.

Well I don't know what her baggage is, but she is not in jail, so it seems the voters feel it must not be all that egregious and don't care about alleged baggage.

She did not vote for porkulus, cap and tax, or Obama care, and is not as likely as her opponent to vote with the Obamanoids in Washington, so the voters apparently liked her.

If she is such a lousy candidate, why did the Delaware voters choose her? If party leaders know so much, how come they didn't realize that their “establishment” candidate was not very attractive to an angry, anti-washington electorate, and find a less objectionable “moderate” candidate?

The more they pile on her, without material specifics, the more the people are going to think that she must be doing something right, cause the “ruling class and political elites” hate her and are upset that she succeeded.

You’re correct. Our standards have apparently shrunk to match the Democrats. Experience, background, intellect—I guess those are qualities for the snobs, right? Who needs ‘em? Of course, when the dem candidates didn’t have them we were all over them...once upon a time.

She walked on to a lightshow. Wow, I bet if she had Greek columns we’d have REALLY been wowed.

I would vote for her against the vile dem she’s running against, but if this is the best we can do, those who could be swayed to the right by the incompetence of the left are going to hold their horses and wonder about us.

I just read some of the responses you got and all I can say is that people don’t even realize they are letting Obama and the dems define their standards. “Obama and Al Franken won, so...”

Good God, the day I let Obama, Franken (or Rove or Romney) define my standards Teddy Kennedy will be ice skating.

If O’Donnell loses it won’t be because some people on a message board stated the obvious, but because either O’Donnell couldn’t convince enough folks to vote for her or the MSM did there thing. I suppose we’re all supposed to shut up about our candidates, just like good little robot voters? No thanks. NO candidate is above a thorough inspection and airing of his/her flaws—you can bet the libs are doing just that.

“It took me 10 years to pay off my student loans.”

I just criticized her, but that reference to the bizarre Rove comment really caught my eye. What the hell is that all about? So she took ten years to pay off her student loan, who the hell cares? I guess Karl was appealing to the trust fund vote? Kerry probably got a chuckle out of that—”What a dope, why didn’t she just marry a rich widower?”

The rats, with the help of the MSM, have already begun the smear campaign. Just now heard on the radio that they are accusing her of using campaign funds for personal use. They will stop at nothing to take her down.

Apparently the college sued her and won judgment.

It wasn’t just about paying off her student loans.

“In 2008, she was unable to pay the mortgage for her Wilmington house and the mortgage company gained a judgment against her for $90,000; the house was due to be sold at a sheriff’s auction in August 2008 when she sold it the month prior to her campaign’s lawyer.”

On her campaign website she ONLY states that she sold her house. She did not state that it was a sold in an auction.

“it’s what you’ve done with your life that matters.’

IRS and mortgage issues disqualify her? To me those are signs of an ordinary American struggling to make it. I had similar problems when I was young. A perfect credit record does not make a perfect person. Her resolve to run despite her past personal struggles is honorable.

Now if she had issues of personal moral character that is different.

A friend of mine is a leader of the local tea party group. He had issues with non-tax payment after a divorce a couple years ago. Does that make him less of a patriot? Absolutley not. He is doing a great job as local leader, desspite the fact that the local press exxcoriated him.

I noticed a lot of GOP O’Donnell critics got headaches after she won. Their halos got a little too tight.

Like I said, this is the worst candidate that I have seen since I have been voting since 1979. I have never said that about any GOP candidate ever, and it’s sad because I never thought I would.

And if you were true to conservative principles ala Reagan, you would have kept this to yourself, especially in the light of the principled and reasoned responses you are getting to your "complaints".

Because you keep going on and on, I suspect there is something else going on here. Be true to your handle and start acting like a lady.

Thanks for the info.

Geez, the more you look with this one... I try to give her the benefit of the doubt, and there ya go.

If she were a Democrat, the liberal press wouldn’t care. And we would.

I would not support her for a city council seat let alone the United States Senate.

She’s got more of a resume than the current POS in our White House, DEM_Lady. At least she earned the grades she got in college.

I wonder what GOP Lady would have said about the prospects of a national office for that woman who started out as a lowly PTA Mom....I can't recall her name just now - you know who I mean....Sarah somebody.
