In the most anticipated speech at today's Values Voter Summit in Washington, Delaware's new GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell ignited the Omni Shoreham ballroom with a tangible buzz. She strode onto the stage to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," with orange spotlights sweeping the room. (None of the other afternoon speakers got a light show.) The packed crowd gave her an enthusiastic standing ovation, continuing to applaud long after she took the podium.

I think Mel Gibson has issues.
Well, at least she didn’t rip off taxpayers or get a “Rezco” under the table from political fatcats or crooked Washington politicians. She’s in nobody’s pocket.
I can’t answer because I’m an “agent” and I’ve been “outed.”
AGREED! Thanks for posting her speech at #291.
You need to listen to it. When you watch it you will understand why the long knives are out for her.
I did. It’s wonderful and she’s very fresh.
Colonel West knows exactly what these leftists and their fellow travelers within the GOP are up to. So does Sarah Palin. And so does Christine O’Donnell.
The good ones always get it. And they never retreat. Only reload.
I’m good at recognizing talent. I’m middle aged now. Older than Christine and younger than Palin. I worked on a very famous campaign 18 years ago that I’m very embarrassed about now. I’m very sorry I did that. I learned a lot, but my life has been much worse because I did that. Anyway, I picked the “right” guy, and was working for him.
After that, I started hyping local bands in my area. I did websites for bands. Not NYC, but bf egypt, really. I learned fairly early on that it’s a total waste of time to do websites for bands that aren’t going anywhere. They might pay a little more, they might be more successful at the time, but if they can’t be signed, I don’t want to do anything for them, unless they’re personal friends. No point putting your heart and soul into it, thinking about them, their career, what you can do to help, when they just aren’t gonna make it.
The end result of all that is that I’ve done websites for a fair number of teenagers that have gotten signed, and are in pretty famous bands with hits and whatnot. At least 4 different teenagers/websites who went on to be signed, at least. I was doing these particular websites 5-10 years ago. One of the bands currently on the charts still has the same name, another is a guitarist who joined a more famous band, another was a band who broke up and changed their name, another was a teenage girl who got signed then the label folded. And I have a much better track record with females. I just do a better job of identifying female talent. So, I’m trained. I can spot female talent really well. I see a picture of Christine O’Donnell in May, know that she’s running tea party against the worst RINO out there, read that she has been on national TV many times over the course of about 15 years bringing a socon message, and really the only thing at that point was “does Sarah Palin endorse”.
I’m really good, sometimes, for some reason, at just knowing what happens typically, when one thing happens. Cause and effect. Natural, typical results. I know what people think pretty well. Typical normal people. I have a fairly clear understanding of what the E’s are all about, what their preferences are, and I know that the vast majority in America refudiate the E’s. Etc etc etc.
I have a resume a lot like Christines. I make almost no money. I just don’t care. I’m alive, you’re (I don’t mean you personally) alive. We’re both alive. I have no money, I sit on my ass and surf the internet, thinking about what I want to think about, learning what I want to learn, trying to get smarter and better. I do not have the easy likeability that Christine has. She has been getting paid money to spread a message, because she’s good at it, she’s likeable. I don’t have that easy likeability.
If I was running I would have to say something like “I make no money because I don’t want to give any money to the Government” And that’s not at all the same thing as simply saying “i’m poor, the economy is bad, and I’m just like you” I can’t. I’m a lawyer. People would just say that I should just be an attorney, and put myself in the middle of, typically, misery and unpleasantness. Create conflict and put myself in the middle of it. Pretty much no thanks. Or just do basic basic stuff over and over, stuff that could be done for a lot less by a paralegal. No, I just don’t want to participate in all that mess.
I’m very much in favor of when you ping all the Christine supporters to a particular thread. These days, around 10% of all threads can be Christine threads, and a lot of people on those threads are really only saying a variant of “I don’t like Karl Rove anymore”. I would like to spend more time on the threads where there are people who know what they’re talking about, like you, outofstyle, onyx and all the rest.
Anyway, enough, I could type for an hour.
“She has been getting paid money to spread a message, because shes good at it, shes likeable.”
I think that is why these smears are gonna backfire. The left thinks that something like “dabbling in witchcraft” as a teenager is weird, becasue they don’t believe in the supernatural. But most people do believe in it and they know that evil and evil beings exist. And many people down through the centuries have dabbled in the occult. This doesn’t make her crazy by any stretch. She wouldn’t recommend it, and it is in fact very dangerous (and anyone-with an ounce of faith in God- and who thinks otherwise, is a pea wit).
But this is the kind of thing the left loves to bring up. It sounds so kooky, according to their dim lights and dulled consciences. Anyone who would be disinclined to vote for COD anyway could do so for a variety of reasons, including this one. But those who agree with her policies are not going to be dissuaded by this sort of diversion. And many who are ambivalent about policy in general are going to vote for her because they like her or because she stands up for her beliefs and doesn’t back down or becasue she is a nice person for many intangible reasons. Liberals think the entire country believes just as they do and is as ideological as they are. Haight Ashbury and Georgetown are not the same as Southern Delaware or northeast Pennsylvania. But they think it is. And they base it on elections past where there was no real choice on the issues.
Thanks for the post and keep up the good work. Feel free to ping me to any threads on COD.
I just watched the video and now understand what you mean. She's a potential superstar and one to watch closely.
Man oh man, no wonder the establishment hacks are freaking out, although I think a lot of it is that they've just "snapped" to Palin's endorsement strategy. They've looked at a map, the GOP primary schedule and Palin's endorsements in these key early primary states and they are freaking out! LOLOL.
Ok, how about “The Passion of the Christ” not Mel Gibson, but himself. Good for the country?
Christine helped people to see that movie. Hollywood was against that movie.
You NEPA?

It is the political equivalent of a collective nervous breakdown, Al. I kinda thought you would have the same take on the video. Every true Reaganite sees that and, for a moment, thinks back to the Speech, Kansas City 1976 and Pointe de Haute. The faux Reaganites have exactly the opposite reaction. Gee. Are they real or memorex? LOL
No. But know people there.
Reagan and Palin have/had the ability to draw bright lines and separate the wheat from the chaff like no one else I’ve ever seen in politics.
I just thought it funny you post and act alike........
She ain’t close to being a perfect candidate but those tools are aiding the enemy. She’s much more qualified than Castle or Coons or any democrat that’s been in congress the last 20 years cause unlike those slags she isn’t a socialist who supports the death tax and crap like that.
She doesn’t need to be praised but Republicans shouldn’t be talking smack about her. That helps that POS Coons who is only 10 points or so up. Rove and Kraut and you should talking about Reid’s “pet” Coons and his dangerous Obama slobbering agenda.
Well, thats nice of her to do.
I helped people see movies, too.
I said, Hey, lets go see a movie.
It was indeed good for us to get out.
But, Im sorry to say that I dont think Hollywood was against us seeing the movies though.

A lawyer with whom I work (who went to a top-notch law school and at one time was the head of our County Bar Association) came up with an idea for a referendum to reform our county government for checks and balances to put an end to corruption (see the articles above).
He got other people involved, they came up with this new structure for our county government, they got the referendum on the ballot, and the voters approved it.
During the most recent FBI raid over the past week, the County Auditor and his son, a County Commissioner (pictured above), and two County Common Pleas Court Judges were arrested.
The day after this referendum passed, I gave him a heart-filled and well-earned congratulations for all of his work and dedication. He didn't have to do it, but he did it because he cared.
I am sure that our community will be much better off.
