Democratic National Committee gets new logo, slogan
By: James Hohmann September 15, 2010 03:27 PM EDT
Eager to bridge a daunting enthusiasm gap, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine recited a list of President Barack Obamas accomplishments Wednesday to an auditorium packed with George Washington University College Democrats.
It came as he unveiled a new web site, a new logo and a new slogan for his party: Change That Matters.
As he went down a longer list, Kaine spoke passionately of how Democrats delivered an economic stimulus (he would only call it the Recovery Act) and the Affordable Care Act (which is how he spoke of the new health law).
And well be talking about that as a signature achievement for generations to come, the former Virginia governor said.
The declaration captured in miniature Kaines problem: many incumbents on the ballot this November are not talking about those accomplishments hes so proud of. In key races, Democrats have downplayed their votes for stimulus and the health bill. Talking about them may lead to a standing ovation from liberal college students, but polls show the same issues driving large numbers of independent voters toward Republicans. Lead with what youve done and be proud of it, and theyve got a lot to be proud of, Kaine said in an interview after his speech, defending his approach. And then paint the contrast with the other side.

Every time I hear the change I want to puke. God does not change and there is nothing new under the sun, therefore, change is of the devil. No?
I’m not saying learning or being creative (I am an artist), is wrong at all, but changing right to wrong and wrong to right is unacceptable.

THIS JUST IN The DNC is offering a reward to anyone who hears a Democrat uttering the words “healthcare, stimulus, bailout, summer of recovery.”
The DNC is offering a bonus if anyone witnesses a candidate inviting Obama to fly-in to a Dem campaign rally.

CHANGE - for change's sake - never matters. It's a bored housewife re-arranging the living room for the 10th time...but the sofa still sits the same and the bulb is still out in the lamps.
I think obama has pretty caused too much "brand" damage to the "change" slogan and the democrat party. It's like saying "Pinto" to a compact car shopper.
Cute gimmicks and slogans are losing their allure in the world of politics. While the obama gang wants to kill private enterprise and run the world through politics, they ironically start using "private enterprise" advertising gimmicks to get elected.
But, "New Coke" was highly advertised too. Consumers jumped all over it, but after a while found out they had been hoodwinked, using a brand name to cover up an inferior product who only benefited the bottom line of the Coca Cola Company. But Coca Coal was smart enough to immediately abandon that fluke and GO BACK TO WHAT WORKED.
obama's "new coke" ain't selling either; people want to get back to the "REAL THING", the Constitution and government of the people, for the people, and by the people.
Thinking obama has a "better way" was like bringing "Billy Beer" to a Koenigsbacher Bier Fest.
How many times will we have to endure power hungry lefties who think they, and only they, can do socialism "right". But it's not how you do it, it's socialism vs human nature; the thing that makes us want to ride our bike without training wheels, to pull away from Mom and Dad and go out on our own...summed up in one word, FREEDOM.
obama is a tyrant of the first order, petulent tyranny is his ruling style, and shari'a style dicatatorship is his goal. His "brand" is forever tarnished and there is nothing he can do to revive it. Other than his flashy Roman columns and teleprompTer readings, he has no "old coke" to go back too...all he's ever been is pond water, and that is undrinkable too.

Change that matters,,you bet it does,,cap and trade, carbon taxes, taxes on cow farts, 1 percent ‘’fee’’ to deposit your check in the bank, 1 percent to take money out, all will be passed along to you, your power bill may double, your phone bill may double, and your cable TV bill may double. $250 fee for each financal institution you do business with. I’m sure I’ve missed some, but what the hay, rush out and buy a ‘’green’’ hybrid electric car, save the planet, and to hell with your family.

How about, “Hope and Chains?”
I’m surprised they ditched the “BLAME BUSH” campaign. I guess they’re saving those millions of pins for 2012.
“Socialism, catch the wave”
“Totalitarianism, catch the wave”
