O’Donnell, conservative bloggers fire back at Rove (with O'Donnell attack video)
Yahoo News ^ | 9-15-10 | Michael Calderone

*snip*

Ben Domenech, writing Wednesday on the influential conservative blog RedState, summed up Rove's criticism of the insurgent tea party candidate as "an instructive moment about how the old guard is failing to adapt to this new environment."

Rove's critique also raised questions about whether he's still serving as a behind-the-scenes political operative for races he analyzes on Fox News.

Malkin linked to an item *snip*

that alleges Rove tried to strike a deal with Delaware Tea Party activists in December to withhold support for O'Donnell.

Thanks to Malkin's reach, Freedomist's claim is already bouncing around the blogosphere. Dan Riehl, the blogger behind Riehl World View, followed up on the allegations noted in Malkin's post by writing that "Fox should suspend Rove and investigate."

"I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O'Donnell," wrote conservative author and blogger Michelle Malkin. "It was on Sean Hannity's FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC."

Now I wish the leftists in my office here in NYC had gotten their way back in 2005 or whenever it was they were calling for Rove to go to jail. I can’t even remember why, maybe that stupid Valerie Plame non-issue, but he definitely deserves to be somebody’s b*tch in the slammer. I agree with that.

At least it would keep him busy off the airwaves and not doing damage to conservatives.

Well we all know what will dominate MSM this week.... Rove stepped in it and gets it. At least we know his true colors now!

Maybe not,
maybe just a fellow elitist, like the Bushes,
that sees his reign coming to an end.

Yes! They need to get rid of Rove, dump Dana and neuter Newt. They are not conservatives and should not purport to speak for us.

Republican Party Shaddow Leadership in Exile

At various times during world history, nations have been invaded, their territory taken over by a foreign power.  One might think of France during World War II.

At the present time, the Republican Party in the United States has been invaded by Democrats, and is therefore not representing it's core consituency.

Candidates run for office to represent Conservatism, something that is supposed to be the core of our party.  Then what happens?

When John McCain ran for the nomination to represent the RP in 2010, the rank and file tried to replace him.  J. D. Hayworth was the go-to guy.

This set up a situation where the rank and file had to battle the party elites.  Sarah Palin and a number of national level Republican office holders came to McCain's defense, endorsing him.  J. D. was trashed in the process.  Who holding a party office actually gave a damn about Conservatism?  Who came out to endorse Hayworth?  Nobody!

Look folks, none of us are sending a dime to the Republican party these days.  People like Palin go out and stump for the party, and infuse money into it, but if you're a Conservative, you're not donating.

Yesterday O'Donnell won the nomination to represent the good people of Deleware.  Then Carl Rove went on national television to talk about her negatives.  Folks you don't do this if you truly want the person to be elected.  You hand the opposition a huge playing card when you trash your own politicians.  Rove actually did this.

When McCain won, the party said, "Well, we know you folks don't like him, but for the good of the cause, we need to make sure we become the majority.  Back McCain."

Now O'Donnell wins, and that line of reasoning was tossed out the window.  Rove goes on national televison and doesn't ask folks to support her so we can become the majority.

I submit it's time for an exile leadership of the Republican Party to be formed, in order for reasoned leadership to be publicly available to those who actually do support Conservatism.

Then I suggest we not only support that exile leadership, but do our damnedest to get that exile leadership installed in RNC central.

It's time for a grass roots revolt.  The RNC doesn't speak for me.  It hasn't for a long long time.

This has essentially already taken place.  O'Donnell is getting funding from every quarter today.  The RP isn't.  The RNC is being bypassed by the rank and file.

I would like to see this made formal.  We've all been thinking it.  We've all be doing it.  Why not develop a public entity that speaks for us for a change?

Then let's do our best to get that entity installed at the RNC.

He’ll probably eventually “admit” he was wrong like Newt did in reference to NY’s 23rd district. I hope he’s not forgiven.

Karl was just on FNC with John Scott and he was talking down O’Donnell for failure of timely payment of taxes. I love Karl because of his association with W but, why should O’Donnell be criticized for tax problem when the Sec of Treasury had similar problem and he didn’t even pay penalty for late taxes...and, of course we have Rangel in same boat.
Maybe not paying taxes is the new norm.....lol.

Seriously, Karl needs to stop giving ammunition to Dims.

Karl Rove has inexpliciably re-invented himself over the last 1 1/2 years as the darling of conservatives, through his appearances on Fox News.

But it was Karl Rove who was the architect of the “conservatives can’t win” approach of the Bush White House and Republican Party for 8 years.

Rove was the one who pushed amnesty for illegal aliens, big spending, etc., etc., on the theory that conservative principles don’t sell.

How is Rove getting away with ruining the Republican Party over 8 years and then being treated like a conservative?

Disgraceful of Karl to do that.

On another thread someone thanked Rush, Hannity, Levin etc for taking on Rove on behalf of tea-party-supported candidates like Christine, and specifically his diatribe against Christine.

Especially I thank Rush, because he and Karl are good friends, and he even asked Karl to host for him while he was away, which Karl did, and did a fine job. So, it cost Rush something to land on Christine’s side of the divide the way he did.

I like Karl and love listening to him on politics. However, he bears some part - not all - but some part in the Republican Party decline and the unhappiness of conservatives within the party. Hello? Arlen Specter, anyone???

Karl has gone overboard and around the bend on this one, and he had better walk this one back and get his sizable head screwed on straight.

IMHO, somebody needs to tell Karl Rove to quit his sour grapes routine NOW!!!

This morning I saw him on Fox, and if you just read the words, they would read EXACTLY like a Ploofe and Axelrod anti-Christine rant FOR ABOUT 3 MINUTES with about 15 seconds of rebuttal interruption, along with at least FIVE NEW ALLEGATIONS that I have never heard of.

IMHO, Karl and the boys had all this "research" "in-the-can" so to speak, but didn't think it was going to be needed until it was too late.

Rove NOW bringing up all his "ace-in-the-Castle-hole" anti-Christine (including NEW stuff along with anti-Christine newspaper headlines to hold up in front of the camera) garbage he had in reserve, (now that she has beaten Karl's hand picked boy) is beyond petty and has moved to totally vindictive against Christine and the Tea Party movement.

IMHO, Karl (And Cornyn) has "got ta go"!

Sen. Jim DeMint obliterates Mike Castle: “I was there when we had the numbers, but didn’t have the principles”

###

In an interview yesterday on The Mark Levin Show, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) vaporized the arguments made by Mike Castle’s supporters with a single sentence:

“I was there when we had the numbers, but didn’t have the principles”

There should be no confusion about Constitutional conservatives’ support of Castle’s nemesis, Christine O’Donnell.

• Mike Castle is a staunch supporter of unions — especially the SEIU — and said support only began after copious amounts of union money began flowing into his campaign coffers.

• Mike Castle supported one of the most outrageous violations of the First Amendment — the DISCLOSE Act — ever seen in Washington. Its intent — to baldly suppress conservative speech — was so obvious that Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) stated that without the DISCLOSE Act, “we’ll see more Republicans getting elected — both local, state and federal [sic].”

• Mike Castle does not agree with the Second Amendment, having earned an ‘F’ from the NRA for his ‘lifetime achievements’.

• Mike Castle doesn’t believe in free enterprise, having earned a pathetic 43% from the Club for Growth.

• Just like Charlie Crist, Arlen Specter, and other unprincipled candidates, Castle won’t rule out a third-party run if he loses the primary. And, like Crist, you can be certain he will shape-shift faster than a character from a Star Wars’ cantina.

The times are too perilous to tolerate this kind of behavior when there are alternatives who will support that archaic document called “the Constitution”. The squeamish Beltway Republicans may have heard of it.

BootMikeCastle.com’s Frank puts a bow on the matter when he states, “Mike Castle is so far left, that if he were to win the GOP primary, his Democrat opponent in the general election would be able to run to the right of Mike Castle.”

And that, my friends, is why we support the Constitutional alternative: Christine O’Donnell. And, yes. My prediction is that she can and will win the general election. And it won’t be close.
