Alert Officer Identifies Wanted Man Workforce Stories
When a Behavior Detection Officer (BDO) at Ohios Toledo Express Airport was approached by an individual in the public area of the airport, the Officer became suspicious of the individuals actions and noticed injuries to the mans hands. The BDO also recognized that the individual matched the description provided by the U.S. Coast Guard of a foreign national who jumped ship in the Port of Toledo.
Based on the description, TSA contacted the Lucas County Sheriff, Toledo Port Authority Police, Coast Guard, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Customs and Border Protection. As a result of the BDOs actions and intra-agency collaboration, the individual was positively identified as the suspect in the Coast Guard alert. He was arrested and is facing federal charges.
TSA is in constant communication with law enforcement and intelligence partners. This incident is not only a testament to the diligence of TSA Officers and the value of the behavior detection program, but also the importance of information sharing, said Federal Security Director Michael Young. TSA employees work tirelessly to keep the traveling public safe, and their efforts continue to make the agency proud.
Off Thread Topic.

I noted the BDO title with interest. Using the Israeli model, eh?
It’s been going on for awhile now.
OPINION:
Yes, I believe they are the American version is similar to the Israeli version.
Let’s try that again.

What they didn't call out the Brownies and the Sea Scouts? I'm sorry, but before the age of political correctness and police officers with masters degrees in criminal science, any beat cop would have nabbed this jamoke run him in based on what used to be called "good police work".
I know and understand what you are saying; but this is a different time and a different world now.
TSA agents dont have arrest powers - their job is to spot
suspect activity and notify Law enforcement.
How many parasites can the host endure? What good are coppers who can't make a collar? Up here we call them summer constables and their job is to direct traffic in tourist areas.
To my untrained eye, just another example of the death of common sense.

I found the information interesting and it will serve as a reference bookmark for me if I find updates.
I was just commenting on the fullsome press release, a masterpiece of credit grabbing in the orginal neo-bureaucratese vulgate: an anthill of an accomplishment inflated into an Everest of verbiage.
