The Granite State held out as long as it could; a GOP stronghold in Commie New England for the past 100 years, it went Dem in 2008 and this was taken as a sign that the Dems were going to be ascendant in the Northeast until Logans lifestone went black.
Well, its not to be. NH will turn out their Dems this year; theyre polling lower than Larry Flynt at the Lilith Fair. Worse, still, establishment GOP Senate candidate Kelly Ayotte (who has been all over the radio and TV such as it is in tiny rural NH) appears to be cratering today in favor of the Tea Party Frenchman (who has had no money for media buys) Ovide Lamontagne.
Ovide who? Yes, exactly! The Beasts family has lived in NH since 1650 and the Beast has literally never heard of this guy before today! But hes WINNING and hes winning BIG! Currently 45% to Ayottes 35%. Now, theres a lot of vote yet to tally, but this is truly amazing.
Let’s give the Democrats something to remember in 2010. The biggest turnout of Republican voters ever. Make some calls and make sure every Republican, on life support, broken leg, car broke down, whatever, gets to the polls.
Voters in NH have a habit of lying to pollsters. Makes for a really amusing election night.
That is fantastic! Thanks for posting!
Right on the Counter Revolution begins!
Does anyone know why the results are taking so long?
This seems extraordinarily slow. I remember Reagan’s big victory on primary night in 1980. He was declared the winner by 8 pm, as I recall, and nearly 40% of the vote was already counted by then. Why it is so much slower 30 years later I don’t know. It is good to see however that GOP primary turnout is higher than for the Dems.
Ayotte seemed like a likely general election winner and perhaps a national figure for the GOP. If the trend continues and she loses tonight I hope Lamontagne beats Hodes anyway. We cannot afford to lose that seat. With 0’s approval in NH barely above 40% it looks like maybe a majority of people there are wising up again.
“Lets give the Democrats something to remember in 2010. The biggest turnout of Republican voters ever.”
I sure hope so but the Republican ruling class not supporting Tea Party candidates is pissing a lot of people off.
The Republican Party is going to support this guy in my opinion and all other candidates who defeated the establishment candidates except for Christine O’Donnell. They do not think that she has any chance of winning are not going to waste the money on her.
LOL! I love that!!!
Right now it’s Lamontagne 44% to Ayotte 36%. Ayotte was heavily favored.
I wouldn’t crack open the champagne yet.
Latest results:
With 23% of the vote in, Lamontagne’s lead has been cut nearly in half.
Lamontagne 41,8%
Ayotte 37.1%
Why is Lamontage called the Tea Party candidate, when Sarah Palin endorsed Ayotte?
Vive Ovide!
I love his name and it is another great tea party victory!

It comes from being then first in the nation primary state. Have to get some fun out of it some how.
I wouldn’t count the chicken yet, if I were you. As of now, C-SPAN has Lamontagne at 40% and Ayotte at 38% with 101 out of 301 precincts results are in.

AP has just declared Ayotte the winner , per Fox News.
Yup just heard on WRKO Boston. There will probably be a mandatory recount, may take about a week or so acc. to
RKO host Charley Manning.
