Go Tea Party!
Watching from Indiana. I feel like a conservative from Delaware can save me.
I gave her two contributions and called for two hours last night. And I live in Wisconsin!!!
Hope others helped too,in any way they were able to.
Come on Delaware! You can do this.
Did anyone listen to Rush on this race today? He was on fire!
Go Christine!
Thanks and ping.
The Scene in Dover

Dover, Del. Christine ODonnell is huddling with her advisers at Elks Lodge #1903. Her aides tell us that turnout has been high, from Indian River to Wilmington. At 7 p.m., with an hour left until the polls close, ODonnell, in a bright red blouse and black pants, is beaming. Her large Irish family is milling about, sharing their stories from the trail.
We are still biting our nails, ODonnell says. She tells us that voters came up to her today with tears in their eyes, thankful that they will be heard again.
They said Ronald Reagan was unelectable, ODonnell says, brushing off concerns about her electability this fall. The real issue, she says, is that Rep. Mike Castle, her opponent in todays GOP Senate primary, along with other establishment Republicans, have lost their way. The establishment GOP, she adds, has an obnoxious sense of entitlement. Her candidacy, she argues, is a challenge to their power.
As ODonnell does local media hits, her supporters in sky blue T-shirts are munching on fried chicken, coleslaw, and salad. The politicos, of course, are downing cups of joe in the corner.
Okay, quickly...here’s the latest scoop.
turnout estimated, I don’t know based on what...to be about 30,000. Fox’s Carl Cameron reporting, says biggest turnout seems to be New Castle county, with Bush GOTV voters out.
I have no idea what this means except supposed to be good for Castle.
I myself spoke with a Castle supporter this morning. He told me that 20000 people were called up in New Castle county. 8000 of these people agreed to go vote for Castle. Oh, these 20,000 called were all folks registered Republican who did NOT vote in 2008. How they know this I dunno but we did have to sign something today so I guess it’s part of a record somewhere.
Anyway the idea was to get Castle favored Repubs that normally DON’T vote out to vote.
If those 8000 should show up and vote for Castle, that’s a substantial amount.
I don’t believe it for a minute as these are notoriously unreliable voters and Mike Castle has never been a dynamite candidate no matter the media might tell you. Mike Castle wins cause that’s just the way it is. For spontaneous and sudden bursts of Castle favoring voters to suddenly merge to the polls is not a normal thing here in Delaware.
But if maybe 10% of those that made a promise to show up, a possible number, it could affect the outcome.
BUT...again, O’Donnell’s had people manning the phones too. The Tea Party Express is fighting this case with a vengeance. I’m not sure this effort on behalf of Castle will make much of a difference except to maybe make him look better in the final result, either by a bigger win or a not so big loss.
Frankly, at this time, 7:30 pm....I couldn’t call this race. I’d have to say it was too close to call.
Rush describes politics as the opportunity for ugly people to get their face on television.
Christine O’Donnell will severely violate this tradition.
“I hope Castle get kicked to the curb!”
I do to. However the Republican establishment are the ones counting the votes and they want Castle to win. Dittos with the dimoKKKRATS wanting Castle to win. Looks like the deck is stacked to me. Be on the look out for uncounted ballot boxes mysteriously showing up.
BTTT .... and saving a place!
And so the GOP establishment’s “Battle of Gettysburg” begins. Up the rebels!
THIS IS WHERE MEDIA GETS THEIR INFORMATION:
If he looses any chance POS Castle will run as an independent?
Oh yeah, me too, DBeers!
Not that that’s important, in the least.
She might be almost as pretty as my wife, but also like my wife O’Donnell is clearly a constitutionalist.
Here’s hopin’!
I’ve been waiting for this one for the last month. Since McLame won, I’ve been consoling myself that we at least took out Murkowski and now could upset Castle. Big deal if that happens!
By the way, we are opening our LIVE Chat right now at www.RINOList.org
Blessings! and thank you, Mountain Mary from Wisconsin!!
You’re going to get rid of Feingold!
You betcha, I listened to Rush.
I just somehow “know” that this night belongs to Christine.
You can count on it.
