Alinsky Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
The Democrats and President Obama sort of veered off course in following Alinsky’s rule 11, but last week that changed when Obama made it a point to attack House minority leader John Boehner by name, over and over again, during a campaign speech in Boehner’s home state of Ohio.

Obama operates by this Alinsky rule: golf, blame someone else, vacation, spend tons of money, golf, attack conservatives, vacation, golf, come in late for work, blame Bush, golf, tell people it’s gonna get better, vacation, golf, blame someone else, golf, shoot a few hoops, attack someone who don’t agree, vacation, golf, tell how things would be worse if he didn’t do what he did, golf, vacation.
It’s almost funny to watch, when we have their (Alinsky) playbook.

Seems kind of odd. The Democrats are attacking the one Republican who was willing to compromise with them.
Like socialism, the Allinsky tactics sound good on paper, but they don’t work very well.

The Dems control TV news. Actually the Saudis and Islam have have shareholding, multi billion deals and joint ventures with 5 of the 6 TV networks in America. CBS Viacom is the exception but they have VH1 in Indonesia and will wh*re themselves to Islam because Indonesia has 1 billion people - most of them Muslims. ALL of American TV now is Pro-Islam. We saw that on 9-11 this weekend in NYC.
So any GOP member who sticks their head out of a fox hole will get trashed by the liberal news media. Remember Shirley Sherrod the racist? She became Mother Theresa in about 2 hours after TV rallied around them.
They went after Palin and eased up when she backed McCain. Now they will go after Boehner just like they went after Delay. So if you don’t like it - cancel cable and sat atv with the stupid ball games and reality TV. If not then don’t attack Boehner. Is he perfect - no. He sure as h*ll is not McCain.

Didnt Obama try this with Rush and then FNC? Boehner has his faults but being a lightning rod is not currently one of them. He has no power and is an unknown. Maybe this is for next year if he becomes house Speaker.
Some on MSNBC are talking about Republicans ‘shutting down’ the government next year like in 1995. That reminds me of how Newt screwed up that whole fight politically by making statements that were used against Republicans to get them to back down. Plus the government workers got paid 100% for the shutdown time when they were off, even though the government was closed. (They didnt even have to use vacation.)
