When I was a child they were called “Moslems”

It was spelt that way...I knew of no other way...

I have just thought we spelt it different than “Muslims” because of where I went to school..

I have just continued to spell it the same way because that is what I am use to...

However maybe we were onto something...

As a child I also learnt that the MOSLEMS wanted to kill me because I am a Christian (not a Moslem)

A few years ago when I found out that Americans did not share that knowledge (and warning) I was apalled...

Muhammad said: "If a husband calls his wife to his bed [i.e. to have sexual relation] and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning" (Bukhari 4.54.460). He also said: "By him in Whose Hand lies my life, a woman can not carry out the right of her Lord, till she carries out the right of her husband. And if he asks her to surrender herself [to him for sexual intercourse] she should not refuse him even if she is on a camel's saddle" (Ibn Majah 1854).

But this is America and you would think that American criminal and Constitutional law would prohibit rape. Well, as Sharia slowly attempts to make inroads, pillars of justice are beginning to crumble.

In New Jersey, a judge saw no evidence that a Muslim committed sexual assault of his wife, NOT because he didn’t do it, but because he was acting on his Islamic beliefs. In denying the woman an Order of Protection, the judge stated:

"This court does not feel that, under the circumstances, that this defendant had a criminal desire to or intent to sexually assault or to sexually contact the plaintiff when he did. The court believes that he was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited."

The rapes took place 2008 and on the night of January 15 to 16, 2009. Of this, nobody disagrees. While raping the pleading woman, the Muslim man said “You are my wife, I can do anything to you. The woman, she should submit and do anything I ask her to do.”

We are not talking about an ignorant immigrant man here although that shouldn’t matter. He worked as an Accountant in America. But in an era where liberals scream about religious freedom to do most anything, maybe they wouldn’t have an objection. They certainly want to prosecute a Doctor who won’t perform a non life threatening abortion because of his religious convictions. They will litigate a Church into non-existence for not performing an alleged Gay Marriage.

Certainly the alleged Woman’s Movement said nothing about a Muslim man having the right of rape. Cowardice seems to trump conviction in their case.

Luckily, the appellate court overturned this decision, and a Sharia ruling by an American court has not been allowed to stand… FOR NOW!

Dude...I don't know about New Jersey, but in the other 56 states intent has no bearing on the issue of "sexual intercourse against the will and without consent of the woman."

There is no intent requirement on the part of the man in a rape case...the only issues are whether penetration of the vagina occurred and was the penetration with or without consent.

The judge is a moron who cannot apply the law.

The cowardly district court judge in Jersey ruled in favor of the husband/rapist, apparently because it's safer to pass the buck to the appellate court rather than get the local muzzies stirred up. According to the article, this boneheaded ruling was reversed on appeal.

As usual, the feminist organizations are conspicuously silent.
