Gibbs hits back at Gingrich for Kenya comment Posted: September 13th, 2010 10:22 AM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

(CNN) – White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says he doesn't have the slightest idea what Newt Gingrich is talking about.

Gibbs' comments come a day after the former House Speaker told the National Review that President Obama follows a "Kenyan, anti-colonial" worldview that in turn supports his policy positions on a range of issues.

"I don't even have – quite frankly - the slightest idea what he's talking about," an mused Gibbs told ABC News Monday morning. "I think Newt Gingrich knows that he's trying to appeal to the fringe of people that don't believe the president was born in this country."

"You would normally expect better from somebody who held the position of speaker of the House," Gibbs added. "But, look, it's political season. And most people'll say anything. And Newt Gingrich does that … on a regular basis."

That’s because Gibbs is acting stupid, which probably comes naturally to him. Obama’s father was a big league Communist in Kenya - difficult to believe Gibbs wasn’t aware of this fact fact.

Mr Gibbs? When our President talks about the last decade of bad economic policies, is that an admission that the past TWO years of problems rest on failed policies from Mr. Obama?

Gibbs is atavistic and immature. A pure microcosm of this entire administration.

I don't feel that Gingrich was making any sort of "birther" comment. He was talking about a mentality, a world-view. Obama has a third-world way of seeing the world that does not fit with the American Dream.

But -- somehow -- the White House thinks everyone is obsessed with the birth certificate. Methinks the Lady doth protest too much!

Not only is Gingrich over the target, but he’s spotted the B.S. factory...

He was refering to DINESH D’SOUZA’s article on Obama’s world view. You can read it here:

That struck me, too. Gibbs should just leave the subject alone; why call attention to the Kenyan connection?

They are obviously worried about it.

I love how Gibbs tweets all weekend in a drunken stupor. And then Monday morning, the lib media go to him as the voice of moderation.

Liberal propaganda is our biggest obstacle.

D’Souza must have hit a nerve as ever since his article about Obama came to light Democrat operatives have been working overtime trying to discredit it. D’Souza must have totally hit the nail on the head. Newt has nothing to do with this. Axelrod is just looking for some way to spin the situation away from the content of the original article by somehow involving the retired Newt.

I think that getting” hit” by Robert Gibbs is liked being punched by the Pillbury Doughboy.

I’m not so sure this time. I would have definitely agreed with you a year ago. Gingrich sees the uptick of the tea party support. He wants to be on the winning side and maybe, just maybe, he sees that the establishment Republican is no longer any different that the Dems. I think that 23rd District race in NY bit him in the butt big time.

Gibbs is getting revenge for all the wedgies he got in junior high and high school, and the royal flushes. Bullies need to understand that nerds can gain power as adults, and lots of it, and then wreak havoc on us all.

I agree. This is the most important article written this year.

In a right-minded world, D’Souza would win the Pulitzer prize for his article and upcoming book. He gives us Incredible insight into what is driving American policy the last two years.

Apparently, Obama talks about this himself in his book “Dreams of My Father”. I’m sure Gibbs has read that. But I can understand why he (or anyone in the Administration) wouldn’t want to acknowledge its content.

Here’s a clue, Mr. Gibbs: It’s a dream *from* somebody’s father.

Let us know if that helps any (not that we expect much from you).
